A bit like the good Doc... a sunburst Fender in the hands of a big-band player back in 1970ish was the first to make me really notice the bass. Horace Panter of The Specials and Dave Steele of The Beat made me want to play it, so I did. And then Mark King made me want to really have fun with it.

Finished it on the plane last night. Bloody funny, very definitely recommended. So Who wants it next?

On the Warwick ad, that custom 5 string with the Kahler trem is the first W bass in years that has made me go "phwoarr" I have yet to read it in any detail, but the renaissance appears to be continuing. If you have to have screw ones, try to make sure the screw lines up with the split in the shaft. That way, the shaft won't bend when you tighten it up.

My thoughts exactly. If it is a yarn, he could have come up with something that didn't make him out to be such a miserable git.
