1. I own mine too The only change I'd like to make now is to swap the EMGs for Delanos... will probably get that done at some point. Apart from that... mmmm, perfect. An identical-twin fretless would be nice...
2.
i am still a little confused as to where the info for the beginner is on this site.
Wiki. Top line of your screen, between 'Forum' and 'Calendar'.
3. Rock Steady is a fabulous groove. You're right, it's an A 'verse' with a D bridge. Honestly, don't bother looking for tab or anything for it, just give it a lot of listens and play along with it. It's all about feel, and you'll never get that from tab or transcripts. It's a mutha, you'll love it. A 2 note bassline has never been so funky
4. It's a shame it's turned out so badly for you. And what with the euro giving the pound such a kicking at the moment, Thomann aren't quite the bargainhaus they used to be either.
5. I played through a Superfly at a support gig we did a while back. I was really looking forward to trying it, but I hated the tone (as usual for Ashdowns). I had to really crank the EQ to get anything approaching nice out of it. Disappointing.
6. Mo Foster is a legend, an absolute geezer... for those of you who haven't read his book "Seventeen Watts?" (published in the US as "Play Like Elvis!"), I can only advise that you do so, as soon as possible. It's an absolute hoot and a real eye-opener. Never again will you complain about a lack of amp power or the weight of your 1x15... EDIT: also, his album 'Bel Assis' is a must.
7. Says it all really. It worked last time I tried it, but is not brilliant, and is scruffier than a tramp who's let himself go a bit. See the pics. It's pretty much spares or repair. [s]2nd class postage is about 2 quid, so call it £8 posted?[/s] SOLD You're welcome to pick it up if you're local, but unless you live next door (in which case, hi Margaret) it'd cost more than 2 quid in fuel to get here.
8. By the sounds of it, angelboy has been after it for ever -- so it's him after me, unless he says he doesn't want it.
9. Depends on your taste in music, but I'd say almost anything by Rush for starters.
10. What a dribbling bag of sheeite.
including a bass guitar [with the game], but we didn't think people would want to pay an extra $15 just for that," admitted Alex Rigopulos, co-founder and CEO of Harmonix, creators of Rock Band. "Mainly because standing there fake-plucking a plastic bass for hours would probably make your head explode from boredom." ...and to prove his point, he proceeded to play the entire bassline to the 22-minute Yes song Gates Of Delerium, explaining his musical choices as he went along. Then the CAP News reporter's head exploded from boredom.
Oh dear. The CAP 'News' reporter seems to have lost his metaphor dictionary. Wannker.
11.
Not saying the album is a production masterpiece...... it isn't by any means. Not exactly a Quincy Jones effort !! But mixed on high quality studio monitors and then listened to in the car with a critical ear doesn't translate ! It's avery different listening environment even with a good quality in car audio system. I spent a small fortune on a Naim Audio system only to find that it's too revealing of the limitations of the source material and the mix engineer's ability !! 70% of my CD's sound horrible....... don't even think about MP3 playback..... !!! Want badly engineered CD's ? try Zappa's CD back catalogue..... on LP they're fantastic, CD transfers are shockingly bad ! Just my HO ofcourse.... I know Jack Sh*t really....
The problem with Retroglide is the awful, criminal over-use of compression. It's so bad it almost sounds like a dog panting at times. Everything's louder than everything else. Last time I tried to listen to it through cans, it gave me a headache within 5 minutes. In fact, that was the last time I listened to it at all.

.

I'm hoping to go.
13. I've reported it to fleaBay. This sort of thing really pisses me off.
14. How many are there in your band? Or bands, if you're in more than one? You can make as many choices as you need. There are 13/14 of us in the Destroyers, and I also have a 5-piece side project.
15.
Are you getting an adjustable ramp like on Dood's
*cough cough* and mine
16.
I think the key differences Martin, Bernie and Denmark St is that one set of shops are run by people who are truly passionate about the bass industry and other is run by people who are just looking to get the sale... customer satisfaction is an optional bonus.
Nail/head/hit, I think.
17. My small gig/rehearsal rig is one Nemesis 1x15 plus my old Hartke 3500 head. Total weight is probably 60ish lbs. I could cut that down drastically if I jobbed the Hart in for something smaller.

21.
well unfortunatly, thats the opinion i have, id love to play one if i had the chance so i could see for myself, but i know nobody who has one and no guitar shops local to me stock them, so 'thinking' is all iv got to go on
For 'thinking', read 'jumping to conclusions'
22. Hi Joe, will do my damndest to get to the Bristol gig
23. Gareth Young Prince
24.
whats wrong with cabs that weigh 36kg or more!????
My back hates them, and I can't afford a roadie
