  1. Sew In Love - Ella Fitzgerald
  2. I was wondering who'd be first to spot it. Well done. 😁
  3. My favourite is Micro-timin' With Mr Bloe.
  4. Year started playing: 1982 Number of basses: 10 Music theory: 3 ** Technique: 4 Groove: 8 (** I did give myself a 1 originally, but then I realised that I can follow a chart quite well even if I can't actually read the notes.)
  5. Number of strings: 5 Number of frets: 24 Scale length: 34 Number of pickups: 2 Number of controls (switches/knobs): 9 (6 rotary controls, 3 switches)
  6. Without wanting to derail anything, OldGit's Shuker 5-string P was utterly gorgeous. I played a whole gig with it once and the thing was just alive in my hands. When he had it built, there was no such thing as an off-the-peg 5-string P.
  7. Back in the 90s I auditioned for a band in Swindon... it quickly became apparent that their original material was utterly dire, so I slapped my way through one of the songs in an attempt to deliberately fail the audition it seemed to work
  8. As far as I'm aware, there's no way of doing it now.
  9. Oh boy, that takes me back... I used to drive one very much like that for a living. The best job I ever had.

  11. Alternatively, it's possible that it might just have been a joke.

Yes, she was always so positive and upbeat. And their double-act was a proper laugh. Oh god, poor Pete. I can't begin to imagine how he must be feeling.

Going back quite a long way, some of you might remember her... Mrs Tinman lost her fight with cancer at the end of June.
  17. Who Cares? - Extreme
  18. 100° And Rising - Incognito
  19. I've had this a couple of weeks actually, but just used it in a band setting for the first time last night. Very impressed. This one was a bargain as it was a right mess (see 'before' pic) but a bit of paint and a cleanup later, it's much better. It sounds great, and will perform its intended role of rehearsal/small gig amp perfectly. The amp it's replacing is an old Behringer 60w 1x12, which is outclassed in every way by this. Remarkably the TC is several pounds lighter than the Behringer too, despite being somewhat larger. Anyone else using a BG250 combo like this? Likes & dislikes? I have yet to play with the Toneprint thingy and to be honest I probably won't bother. It sounds fine as it is.
