  1. When Vincent Price recorded his part for MJ's Thriller album, he was offered either a flat fee or a percentage. He chose the fee.

  6. This perfect, perfect song. Opening track from session legend and nicest guy in the world Mo Foster's solo album Bel Assis, with the incomparable and much missed Gary Moore on guitar and the godlike Simon Phillips on drums. So beautiful it puts a lump in my throat.
  7. If you're going to use nothing but quotes, at least make them accurate. If you start completely changing their point willy-nilly, your 'argument' instantly loses all credibility. You may as well change all their "will"s to "won't"s and "is"s to "isn't"s. In fact, how do we know that you haven't? https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/246567-modern-americans-behave-as-if-intelligence-were-some-sort-of
  8. I've hidden all the Brex*t stuff. I don't want to have to do any more. So please don't post any.

  13. I haven't bought a bass since 2015. I've put together a bitsa since then but I don't think that really counts, and anyway it's basically a cheap POC. Trouble is, everything on my GAS list is ££££.
  14. Never Too Much - Luther Vandross
  15. NSBD (New Skirting Board Day). 6 lengths delivered, and I've just realised quite how long 4.4 metres is... O.o

Pics or it never happened. That's certainly a thing for NBD, assume it would apply here too.

It's completely passive, ultra-long scale, massive neck dive unfortunately, and sounds really sht.

  23. Dep holiday-park gig with function band last night in Bournemouth. Made a weekend of it and stayed over with my nephew who lives here. I was sent the set list a while ago (1 x 60mins) and wrote out some notes, & lyric cribs for my lead vocal songs. Got to the venue, set up, sound checked, and then found out that the venue were expecting 2 x 45s... booking agent còck-up somewhere along the line. Cue a frantic scramble through their repertoire, trying to find another half hour of tunes I and the other dep knew or could busk... Anyway, it worked out ok in the end. The punters loved it, the management were well pleased, and our busked half hour was decent enough that no-one noticed. I've played with them before but never with this particular guitarist, he was getting a lovely sound from his battered old Strat and tiny valve combo... turns out he was Muddy Manninen from Wishbone Ash.
  24. Hope you all have a great time today. Missing yez.
