The people who run the UK are voted in by the people who vote in the UK; therefore, by association, the people of the UK must be idiots too.

OTOH, France is a beacon of liberal thinking.

  4. The famous 'This England' speech from Shakespeare's Richard II is much beloved by demented flagwavers:

"This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall,
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm,
      This England
    ."

How many of them know that the speech continues thus:

"This dear dear land is now leased out
Like to a tenement or pelting farm:
England, bound in with the triumphant sea
Is now bound in with shame,
With inky blots and rotten parchment bonds:
That England, that was wont to conquer others,
Hath made a shameful conquest of itself
    ."

    Shakespeare knew.

Tarring? Not at all. I didn't say they were all demented, did I..? There are flag wavers and there are demented flag wavers.

Is "mented" the opposite of "demented"?

  11. Stinks of blatant ker-ching from arschloch to breakfast-time. Much like pretty much everything associated with that fine ambassador for our instrument.

  16. Me too, I really liked it. Thanks for the link, it was nice to hear it again! "Let's face it, Noddy's the biggest ram round here and he reckons he's scored."
  17. How do the Welsh make cheese? Very caerphilly.
  18. Oh yes... many, many good memories there. I can still remember the thrill of seeing SOLD OUT written across the billboard for the first time. Such a nostalgia rush.
  19. I've always really liked the original, but that version is an absolute belter. I bet the live energy is fantastic.
  20. 3 hours drive, 4 hours on the train... I'll pass
  21. My strap is a Maruszczyk PES40 'Retro' much like this. 4 inches wide, lots of padding. I have several heavy basses and this makes all of them a breeze to wear. I used a Comfort Strapp for many years, this thing is more comfortable if anything (although I would also heartily recommend the Comfort Strapp).

  23. WANT! Oh my god, that's my perfect ska bass ❤
  24. My Thunder 1A has a single split pickup, but it ain't no Precision. For me, unless it's a Fender or Squier Precision, it's not a Precision. Now waiting for pedants to blow holes in my argument
