I agree with Pete. In 36 years of UK gigging I have never once had a problem with dirty power. For mains distribution I've fitted one of these in the back of my rack -- surge protected, does the job very nicely and keeps everything neat. I'm a bit anal when it comes to neat wiring

If you can find one, the Funk Logic DD-301 Digilog Dynamicator is the ideal 1U space filler. The ultimate in audio DFA technology... Yes, it's basically a blank panel with some knobs and a fake VU meter on it. They're a bit hard to come by these days, mine is pretty much the only one I've ever seen. I even wrote a BC review of it about a hundred years ago.

Finally received a reply on Friday... a terse "No there will not be an alternative, the prize is a guitar" type of response that was fairly snotty in its tone. So if I wasn't going before, I'm certainly not now.

Not FX as such, but I've decided that I'm going to replace the volume pedal on my board with a homebrewed buffered mute switch with tuner output. The mute LED will flash, just make sure that I can't miss it. I only ever use the volume pedal as an on-off anyway, so it makes zero sense to keep it really and I might as well get some cash for it instead. Plus I already have all the bits I need to make the mute box.

As I understand, it's Folks-vargen - the 'o' in folks is short as in 'doll'.

I did perform a few mods/changes on my Wal Pro 2E... fitted a D-tuner, fitted Schaller straplock buttons, swapped the pickup toggle switch for a rotary one. I kept the original parts and these changes have now been reversed (apart from the strap buttons, and it'd take seconds to change those), and it's back to factory stock. Many years ago I did contemplate having the pickups and electrics changed to Custom spec, I'm glad I didn't.

Just lost a tiny bit of weight... ganglion removed from left middle digit. Had it years but it was becoming a real pain in the arse. Finger. Whatever.

I have a ganglion in my right hand, just underneath my little fingers. It used to flare up when I (an electrician) rewired properties and used my SDS hammer drill to chisel out chases in brick for cables. I would get pain up my arm for several days afterwards and it would stop me sleeping.
Most of my work these days involves inspection and testing, with a lot less 'house bashing' so now it's not noticeable but its not gone away.
Hope you recover from your surgery quickly.

Yes, there's been a lot of debate on the other thread... general consensus is that the stock one looks lazy and that almost anything else would be better. The Starcaster h'stock seems to be popular, but the Tele one works quite well too. Even the old 80s pointy Performer one would be better.

I was going to suggest the Korg Pandora PX4B, mine is just the ticket... but they appear to be going for silly money when they pop up on fleaBay.
