  1. Oh god, you crossed the streams. I'm amazed we're all still here.
  2. Likewise, first snare hit.
  3. I'm afraid they're right. I had my first vaccine trial shot in June 2020 and unfortunately I was dead by xmas.
  4. It's tempting but nah, you're alright.
  5. Part Time Love - Elsan John
  6. *slightly embarrassed cough* Radio 4 Extra.
  7. Just tried. Not the merest scooby. I suspect that the songs they use are going to be a bit too contemporary for this old fart.
  8. Shut Up, Madness Sweet Child, Guns'n'Roses Old Man & The Angel, It Bites The Big Money, Rush Something About You, Level 42
  9. I don't, consequently there's 3 minutes of my life I'm not getting back.
  10. With all due respect, that's easy to say when you don't have to a.) set it up, b.) mod it or c.) admin it. We already get enough things posted for sale in the wrong sections as it is.
  11. AIUI there are two types of Haggis, the Clockwise (short right legs) and Anti-Clockwise (short left). Which are more rare? And do they taste different?
  12. So was this a gig, or a sub-plot from a black-&-white Scandinavian art movie?
  13. Greased Lightning - Grease OST
  14. Yeah, but that's what THEY want you to think. #flatearth #JFKwasarobot #lizardroyalfamily #ohFFSyouvejustsatonmytinfoilhat
  15. This is all the proof we ever needed. wAkE uP aND sMeLL tHe sOuP, sHEepLe!!!1!!
  16. My ska bass is my ultimate budget instrument. The initial Jazz copy was picked up for free as it was in a bit of a state. The EMG eq I'd had for more years than I care to think about, this is the 4th or 5th bass it's been in, so I'm not costing that. Likewise the Schaller pickup which has been in the spares box for at least 15 years. The major outlay was the neck, which was 50. Decal was a tenner, paint about the same, oil was a fiver. Chequer tape was 3 quid, the Trojan logo roughly the same. So it owes me 90 plus a lot of elbow grease. Admittedly my gig rig is expensive, but in theory with a big PA I could get away with the Behringer combo I use for rehearsals, which was 30 quid.
  17. Smoke on the Water - the Purps
  18. Last night was a 45 minute set supporting the Complete Madness tribute act at Melksham Assembly Hall. We did a blasting greatest-hits set (minus all our Madness songs, obvs) and though I say so myself we played an absolute blinder. Crowd loved it, we got loads of praise afterwards, we'd brought some t-shirts with us and sold the lot. We're getting a whole load of new followers on our Farcebook page this morning. Here's a couple of pics... god I'm really digging into that E..!
  19. Score! What a bargain.
  20. Oh come on, it's obviously the bit just after it goes dum-de-dum-dum "la la something" de dum, as any fule kno.
  21. Yes. My favourite line in any song ever: "but it's hard to get by when your àrse is the size of a small country".
  22. As a big motorsport fan in days of yore, the old F1 theme (that bit of F.Mac's "The Chain") is burned indelibly into my brain. Its first note is an A and I can make a pretty good stab at getting the correct pitch. EDIT: have just tested my theory by humming at a tuner, I was only a few cents out. In the absence of any sort of tuning device, it'll do.
  23. Start! - The Jam
