There was some discussion about this on BassRat earlier. Opinion is split as to whether Stentor or Gewa bags taste better. Of course, some of the more hardcore types are saying that hard cases taste best and only wimps eat gigbags.

As I said in the other thread: There are many aspects that are a pain in the derrière, yes. But there were times a couple of years back when I wondered if I'd ever be able to play again. Thankfully I still can, and now I don't care how far the drive, how late the night, how tired the loadout -- I'm in two wonderful bands and loving every second of every gig, simply because I can. And for that I am grateful.

The only cab I've ever managed to physically damage was my old Laney 4x10 Pro-Bass combo back in the 80s. And that's because it was in the boot of my Viva when I wrote it off by tailending (and completely destroying) a Datsun 120Y.

Been doing some troubleshooting on my mute switch/tuner output thingy that wasn't behaving as I was hoping. Turns out there was one hair-like strand of a wire that was sticking out from a soldered joint causing an intermittent short to ground. I obviously need to brush up on my wire tinning skills. *slaps self*

Oh good lord I love almost** everything about that. Absolutely gorgeous. I await sound clips with bated breath. There will be sound clips, right? Right..? ** the gold/black hardware mismatch is a bit jarring for my tastes, and it's missing a string but obvs that's entirely personal preference
