  2. Reluctantly selling one of my Clifton Electric Upright Basses. I purchased it for £1790 in 2001, and I've used it with artists such as Courtney Pine CBE, Carleen Anderson, Talvin Singh , Maxi Jazz (faithless) and Omar Puente. There is the odd youtube clip where you can see me in action with it. I mostly use my other one now (Frequent Flyer) and I can't play two at once, hence the sale. What I will say about this instrument is that, unlike many EUB's on the market, it was custom made for me as a professional double bass player, and so it feels and sounds a lot more like playing a double bass than others I have tried. So there you have it - a custom made EUB with Thomastik strings and David Gage Realist pickup, with handy carry bag at 60% of the original purchase price. Mo Clifton only makes a few of these every year, so in truth it's probably worth twice what I'm selling it for. But that's the credit crunch for you. I will arrange delivery ( upon request ) anywhere in the UK Payment Via BACS or cleared cheque.
