I have a pair of Uniross Hybrio PP3s that need charging for 19hrs 30mins at 14mA. I can't find a charger that will do that. My wall wart 9v Ni-Mh charger with auto cut off will not fully charge them unless I put them through twice. I have only just tried this (double charging) and so far so good up to now. They have lasted longer than a single charge. Would prefer to have a dedicated charger though as I am not sure if doing this will have any adverse effects.

I have had Elacin ER25s for a few weeks now, I wish I had have got them years ago. I wear them as a player and as a punter. Everything was always too loud for me before, even when wearing Alpine 15s, I used to stand at the back or behind walls/columns when watching bands. Now I hear everything, just at a lot lower level. A bit like standing outside. Funny that it never bothered the mates I was with.

You may be passing up on the opportunity of being one of the greatest bass players of all time, you could be up there with Homer Simpson.

I was getting it when I first started playing mine, and now that you have mentioned it I don't remember hearing it for a while now. Maybe I have changed my right hand technique without realising.

I keep getting phone calls telling me I have £thousands owed to me from ppi. I have never written any music.

Maybe he is a jazz guitarist..

Sh*te. We have played this venue a few times before, they have their own PA so I just take my Hartke Kickback and DI straight in. Up to now there have been no problems. Last night they had the DJ doing the sound, he couldn't mix pollyfilla, no bass out front and not for the want of telling him, I even turned my amp down so it could not be heard out front but still no response. As soon as our last number was done my bass was off, amp was off and coat was on, and the DJ was shouting to the crowd "do you want more" to the response of "Yes". I said to the band I'd had enough but was persuaded to come back on and do two more songs. When we were stripping down the drummer said he could hear no bass at all when I came back on, I told him it was because I couldn't be bothered turning my amp on. There was no problem with the house music though, that was thundering. Next time I will be turning up with a bigger rig. Edited for spelling.

I tried to fit a 15" McKenzie in my Hartke Kickback and it was too big. In 1973 I bought a Gibson EB3 from a local music shop that had not been in business long. He never had one in stock so rang Selmer, who sent one up the next day on which I paid for the delivery. The bass cost me £240. My brother who worked in the shop later showed me the invoice which was for £144. Not a bad profit for a phone call. Not long after the shop owner was driving around in a Rolls Royce.

Well the bass arrived yesterday and what a piece of kit it is, especially for £218. I had a plonk on it, (I have never tried one before), and realised my technique is all wrong. I am trying to play it like a bass guitar. I have lowered the bridge and sorted the endpin rattle and have been looking at a few youtube lessons for tips. My left arm is now aching from holding it up. Since retiring a few years ago I have lost my arm strength through doing F' all so will have to eat more Shredded Wheat. Anyway I am quite pleased with my purchase and with a couple of hours a day practice I hope to get better at it. It is not suitable for anything I play in my band but I do a jam night and am looking to be using it in that. Oh yes, where can I find the tab for Moondance....
