1.
Not sure on the body design....
I'm usually a dyed in the wool fender shape kinda guy so know what you mean, but I find this one quite alluring...oh matron...
 2.
Looks like a nice piece of wood, mind.
Agreed. Like the look of this too, but no experience of the manufacturer. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322533383382
 3. Had a Wilkes P a few year back, such a well made solid guitar. Any thoughts on this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152580499563 The defret looks like it was done by a very angry butcher, so would need a bit of love. The pickups look like they just need some screws. Quite fancy it if it doesn't get silly bids.
 4. That looks like a lot of bass for the money Ash. No use to me as it has those metal strips things on the neck...I won't fret about it though. Just a GLWTS bump.
 5. Mark bought a guitar from me, paid quickly, great communication. Very trusting fella given that the last time he bought something from me the courier trashed it. Thanks again Mark. John

 8. Black mamba drum monitor amp. I've used it for home bass practice as it has 2 channels so I can put mp3 through it and play along. https://goo.gl/photos/Br4HZm4MahGVRDXv9 https://goo.gl/photos/jPVDNG28C8Pr8WQ57 Collection in Bath, or could meet up nearby.
 9. Sorry folks that messaged me, I've bought another guitar, so am keeping this strap as it goes with the guitars' esthetics Levy's brown suede strap. Nice and supple, some marking round the button holes where it had strap locks fitted. Price includes p&p. https://goo.gl/photos/6yV1y3VP9wcQqa7M6 https://goo.gl/photos/G2c92oeUQmpCHjFZ8

 12.
It's nice to see Ebay terminology evolving. I'll miss "frettles", though.
"None freted" sounds like something one would find in the "free from" range at Asda. "frettles" is surely a pets name? No wonder you'll miss them...
 13. Alan Hatswell made great instruments. I've had 2 Bassix EUBs, the last one Alan made for me was an ingenious design, in that the half body design, was also the case which held the neck, bridge, strings, etc for transport. More importantly both sounded great too. I don't play bass anymore so they had to go. GLWTS 500 is a very good price for a lot of instrument. 🙂
 14.
This guy doesn't have a background in advertising, does he?
😁 I quite like the term "None freted" though
 15. Some unusual twin neck & headless Wilkes basses. Fretless & fretted twin neck; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282461784814 Check out his other items. Had no idea Doug did such a range 😎
 16.
Got one of the first ones that came out, great idea, and very handy to record with Bargain at this price GLWTS
Thanks. Another cool feature I forgot to mention: The ability to programme and allocate a number of alternate tunings. So at the flick of a switch you can have Drop D, DADGAD, Open E, or whatever you want...very cool and saves fiddling with your tuning pegs between songs.........type bump

 19.
Would segues help?
Helped this band https://goo.gl/photos/8T5qm8Mk2217QEuy9
 20.
My comment isn't really about the money angle. I'm really thinking more about the benefit of actually sitting and talking about objectives and chemistry.
This conversation should be regularly reviewed too imho
 21.
My Bro in Law is a cello teacher. I'm at his house atm. He's got someone coming here shortly for an "audition". What's that? It's where a prospective pupil comes for a chat to see if their aims are likely to be met with the teacher. It's FOC and if works both ways. Does this ever happen in the world of bass?
I stopped teaching 3 years ago, but when I was tutoring, my first 30 minutes were always a free "meet & greet". Also an opportunity to find out what the prospective students aspirations were, and equally important, they had the opportunity to ask questions about what to expect. I could then start to plan lessons accordingly if we both agreed to continue. I felt it was only fair that I took someone's (or a parents) hard earned cash only when they were in an instrument lesson. So yes it does or did happen in the world of bass.
