1. Mike, I'm sorely tempted and am just down the road in bath. How easy would it be to re-sleeve the head I wonder? This with the mini 48 I'm using would be a pretty compact rig....mmmm?
Just to be clear I don't want any trades unless someone has a yummy Magnum.
Any good Ash? 3. Literally arrived Friday, gigged Saturday. Not the sound for this band, need some nickel wounds. Trade for similar gauge nickels, or sale. 4. Sorry, no offence meant. Will read the rules next time.
5. Elton John has always had great bass players. Dee Murray was the reason I took up bass, and Kenny Passarelli the reason for playing fretless. I lost interest in EJ s music after 76 Blue Moves, but always looked out for who was playing bass with him. Matt sounds like a nice guy.
6.
Is it still OK to use if for squeaky lemons ?
"Lemon aid" for citrus based ailments?
7. It's official. The world is stark raving, monster loony mad. 500 smackers for this?...with hsc?...posted....?

It's not the first time Paul & I have met together for a dodgy deal in a car park... :-)
9.
What is the price drops? I don't see a lower price. What am I missing?
It's in the heading. £325 from £375
10. I bought (robbed actually) a lovely Zoot iceni from Simon. Not only did he give me a great deal, he even arranged for it to be picked up and delivered by the amazing Paul S of this parish. Top man. John
11. Thanks to Paul for sorting this out for me, zoot now in my grubby hands. Thanks also to those who kindly offered their help too. Much appreciated. John
12. Cool, thanks for the offer. We're hoping things will work out with Paul, but yeovil isn't far if that doesn't work out. Cheers, John
13. Paul, thanks for the offer, this may work out very nicely. Give me a call. I've Pmd you my number. John
14.
Hello, and yes I have 14 months ago, currently residing in sunny Nailsea and soon off to even sunnier Burnham on Sea
OK, We're in Bath now and looking for a decent luthier. Sister in law in Nailsea, so thought "result, Paul's nearby!" Burnham's a bit further.
15. Paul have you moved from lancs?
16. Thanks gents. Good thinking about the Herts bash. John
17. Before MacDaddy packs up the Iceni Zoot I've stolen off him, and hands it over to postman Pat to lovingly place on a bed of feathers in the back of his chariot pulled by unicorns, is anyone travelling from London to Bath/Bristol over next week or so who would be prepared to put the bass on the back seat of their car instead please? I can meet up anywhere around the Avon/Somerset/Wiltshire area. No worries if not, just a thought. :-) Thanks. John
18. Band I was in were on music TV show with southside Jonny & asbury jukes, bangles and a local band. Bangles weren't allowed to mix with the rest of the acts (despite our best efforts) but SJ&AJ were a brilliant laugh. They were one of my favorite bands and were happy to share stories and a drink or 3 with us unknown punk types. Anyway when it came to filming our slot, I noticed on the TV monitor that the brass guys appeared on the screen miming the brass parts on our song each time the brass "stabs" came up (we didn't have brass players in the band). Apparently after I'd disclosed how much of a fan I was, they'd had a word with the director and asked him to include them in the filming. I was soooo chuffed! Nice touch I thought.
19. Black leather strap. Reversable pattern snake skin one side paisley embossed the other. It's been used once but I prefer a softer wider strap and I've got more than I need. £5 posted.
20. Unknown make of Telecaster guitar. Bought it after playing it in a shop years ago. Took it home put decent set of strings on put it in sons room and forgot all about it. So it's not been played outside of house. Slab body, not string through. Does the Tele thing well. Might suit some mods (or rockers) or something to noodle on. It's heavy, but don't know what wood it's made of. £50 collected from Bath. Or I could post it, but only with neck off as I don't have a case or bag for it. Probably £20 p&p as I'll need to buy bubble wrap and tape.
21. Not sure of make or gauge, or if nickel or steel...... Probably Rotos by looks of red threads? But they are not flats... Anyway, used set which had plenty of life in them when I restrung my old Hohner B6 with nickels. Be good for spares. £8 posted.
