1. Looks very similar to a Maya fretless precision I recently owned. Similar machine heads, nut and neck plate stamp. However, Jon is yer man for MIJ ID. Little cracker though.
2. Lovely condition 335 copy in Cherry red. Strung with TI flats and comes in correct shaped gig bag. Great tone from Entwhistle pups, bright snap from bridge to deep jazz from neck. Gigged once or twice in jazz trio. Details from website. http://www.tanglewoodguitars.co.uk/product/tsb-59-ch/ Levi strap in picture not included, sorry. Rather not post this, as it doesn't have a hard case. I'm in Bath and travel to Bristol for work regularly, so could easily meet up. Or prepared to drive within a reasonable distance to hand over. Thanks for looking.
3. Mibass 550 head. Good condition, just a couple of scratches on top. Great little amp, light as a feather, but plenty of heft, grunt, punch, ooof, oh!, mmmm, etc. Here's some info from ashdown website:- http://ashdownmusic.com/products/1/Bass-Amp/18/Legacy/98/MiBass-550-/ I've gigged this in pubs, clubs, indoors and outdoors, usually with a mini 48. Flexible eq and various buttons for "dialing in" tone. I'm in Bath, but work in Bristol once a week, or can travel within reasonable distance to hand it over. Could probably post if I can access some decent packing materials. Thanks for looking.
4.
I had the conversion done and Brook Guitars nailed it
Blimey, I thought those were position markers! :-) Lovely bass BTW, someone's getting a cracking deal.
5.
When you say 'chops', would that include 'jowls'?
Cheeky!
6. Terrific bass this, light and easy to play. Can't imagine how good it is now with the mods Tim's made. If I had the money this would be mine, very much regret letting this go. Also Tim is a trustworthy guy to deal with....don't let his taste in socks put you off :-) John
7. Simandl new method. 9. In London for the day, had a quick visit. Very welcoming guys, tried out unlined f.less stingray and they had time for a chat. First Class! And a great selection of basses & uprights.
10. Thanks for looking.
11.
Sorry. Seen sense and I'm keeping it
On one hand ...boooooo! :-( On the other....sense has prevailed :-)
12. Mike, I'm sorely tempted and am just down the road in bath. How easy would it be to re-sleeve the head I wonder? This with the mini 48 I'm using would be a pretty compact rig....mmmm?
Just to be clear I don't want any trades unless someone has a yummy Magnum.
Any good Ash? 14. Literally arrived Friday, gigged Saturday. Not the sound for this band, need some nickel wounds. Trade for similar gauge nickels, or sale.
15. Sorry, no offence meant. Will read the rules next time.
16. Elton John has always had great bass players. Dee Murray was the reason I took up bass, and Kenny Passarelli the reason for playing fretless. I lost interest in EJ s music after 76 Blue Moves, but always looked out for who was playing bass with him. Matt sounds like a nice guy.
17. Is this still available?
18.
Is it still OK to use if for squeaky lemons ?
"Lemon aid" for citrus based ailments?
19. It's official. The world is stark raving, monster loony mad. 500 smackers for this?...with hsc?...posted....?

It's not the first time Paul & I have met together for a dodgy deal in a car park... :-)
21.
What is the price drops? I don't see a lower price. What am I missing?
It's in the heading. £325 from £375
22. I bought (robbed actually) a lovely Zoot iceni from Simon. Not only did he give me a great deal, he even arranged for it to be picked up and delivered by the amazing Paul S of this parish. Top man. John
23. Thanks to Paul for sorting this out for me, zoot now in my grubby hands. Thanks also to those who kindly offered their help too. Much appreciated. John
24. Cool, thanks for the offer. We're hoping things will work out with Paul, but yeovil isn't far if that doesn't work out. Cheers, John
25. Paul, thanks for the offer, this may work out very nicely. Give me a call. I've Pmd you my number. John
