1.
I had one of these years ago - upgrade the pickups and you've got yourself a SUPERB machine!
Thanks Paul, it is a well built instrument (feels indestructible to me) and the stock pups are pretty lively as is, so an upgrade would indeed ramp up the quality. Someone take off my hands what is the last bass I own, I'm open to offers. Trades would be ideal, but it looks as though it'll end up as a cash deal. I've got an mp3 of the various tonal options I can email, if somebody wants to hear and have a laugh at my playing. I don't know how to post it here, I've tried but failed several times.
  2. Available for money now....no trades forthcoming. £140 collected add £15 pp
  3.
money?
82 JV P....? :-) Money is a very last option, and I've a few bodies lined up for that including yer good self ;-) . Sadly any money will only go into the endless pit that is the house moving account. :-(
  4. Trades bump 6 string acoustic guitar Guitar amp Powered monitors Guitar loop pedal
  5.
So, how do you want to pay....?
With my life Mert, with my life!!
  6.
Groove fretless will appear later this eve too...
Oh Lordy, your not helping with my "get rid of all basses" policy Merts!!
  7. Buy this and the Fujigen SR800 for £300 the pair......type bump
  8. Open to offers or trades. This is too nice to be sat here unplayed.
  9.
and reasonable starting bid.
Yup, that's mine. On sale here too. J
  10. Open to offers, including trades, type bump. (Also now restrung with rounds)
  11. Nice one Keith! :-) Must have been embarrassing though, seeing someone play a double bass with a plumb?
  12. Price to include shipping. Neck off. More pictures of neck, as requested by PM's Couple showing marks on back by neck bolts and front of body. These were on it when I got the bass. Not bothered me as the marks have no defect on the bass's sound, structure or performance. 13. I miss that bass. Beautiful neck, great tone.
  14.
If only this was up last week when my Squier VI was still for sale!
Sad indeed! :-(
£200 is a great deal for one of these - I've had 2 (fretted & fretless) and have varying degrees of regret over selling both. Lovely, playable, versatile & great-looking basses. Btw I think the serial suggests 1995, Fujigen factory. Jon.
Thanks Jon.
I'd like to buy this, sir - would you consider posting it Up North, possibly/preferably with the neck off?
Indeed, that would be no problem and neck off is my preferred method of sending a bass. PM me with your details and I'll do the same by return. Cheers, John
  15. Japanese made SR800 Beast of a preamp. Bass/treble concentric pot, and a variable mid EQ concentric pot. Real open tonal pallette. The neck is the skinniest I've ever played. Truth be told its too skinny for me, plus I've recently been given a Kramer and that suits my hands better. Very well put together guitar, flexible range of tones and very light. I've replaced the strings with light round wounds. No idea what the value is, but I'm looking ideally for a trade for a squier bass VI (plus cash your way), or perhaps a baritone electric? Or straight sale, no other basses please. I'm in Dorset, if you want to try it out. Or I can meet up near Bristol, Bournemouth, or somewhere along A303 East or west.
