  1. The neck had that truss rod end when I bought it. Which is why it made good sense to use it for the body. Like I said, I will post more pictures and measurements when I get back home. Thanks 😎
  2. Anyone else waiting for a Parcelforce delivery that’s overdue? Waiting for a NBD. 3 days overdue. The tracking showing it was picked up and delivered to Hub, but notification stating that it’s stuck there for a number of reasons around staffing/strikes/wrong kind of snow on the lines. The seller is more anxious than I am. Nothing I can do about it, and I’ve discovered that anger has no influence over delivery speed.
  3. Wow, that’s some dump run then!
  4. That’s my wife’s pictured nightmare of me returning every time I say, “I’m just popping into town for some new strings”.
  5. Cheers @Al Krow I sourced a SmoothHound system in the end. The guitarist has the same system and it’s working well so far.
  6. Could be interested in this. Logistics might be the issue though. I’m in Bath but work in Poole once a week. Maybe a relay?
  7. The trick EB possibly missed was not making a “Flea” bass that was an affordable alternative to a Ray. Maybe a Flea SUB or the like. Most of the Flea fanboys I knew were teenagers who couldn’t afford an actual Stingray.
  8. @tredders I used to teach music in prisons and we were always needing decent instruments. Billy Bragg donated some through his Jail Guitar Doors charity, which was really helpful. Whatever people’s thoughts/attitudes are towards the “residents” and the crimes they commit, Music is a powerful way of teaching some important life skills such as listening, deferring to others, being creative, performance, confidence, team work, patience, perspective taking, etc. If you have a prison near you, get in touch with them maybe? Education dept or chaplaincy are usually where us Care Bears work. Ps I’ve seen a fair bit of criminal bass playing in my time. 😂
  9. I know what you mean. My preference is up to 1976 culminating with Blue Moves being my favourite album. Not a massive fan of anything after that. However, that performance last night was fabulous and very nostalgic for me.
  10. Enjoying catching up with the Jacob Collier set. Not my usual cuppa, but it’s great. Love how he got the crowd holding that 3 part harmony at the beginning. Beautiful. Robin Mullarkey playing his bass vi. Nice.
  11. Absolutely. Lovely playing and terrific tone from Matt. With no need to reinvent the wheel, Dee’s melodic lines, skipping over those songs (whilst Nigel laid down that solid tub thumping) was perfect. 😎
  12. It was quite emotional watching EJ with Ray, Davey and Nigel on stage. I so would have loved Dee Murray to have been there, my first bass hero.
  13. Grabbed bits and pieces on the tele. Lots of enthusiastic performances and responsive audiences. Enjoying Clem Burke currently, great drummer. As an aside, every year I ask myself “what’s with all the huge flags blocking peoples view?” Is it so their carers can find them? Bizarre. Anyway back to Glen Matlock and his lovely hair.
  14. Think that’s a gem if it works Lawrie! Uk built.
  15. If I had the readies I’d have had this off you Binkers old chap. Would suit one of my bands to a tee.
  16. No longer neeed. Pick up from Bath or drop off Bath/Bristol areas. It’s got some weight and padding and has kept an old upright of mine safe and sound. Lots of pockets. Could post but no idea how much it would cost.
  17. Very simple design and the foldability is useful.
