Great condition, except a small nick on the D string tuner. Fantastic sounding bass, nice neck, and light. Prefer to meet up. I'm in Dorset, but could do Basingstoke, Bristol or Bath areas.
4. Paul bought a bass from me. Great communication, paid swiftly and let me know when the bass arrived. Really nice to chat on the phone Paul. Top guy, deal with confidence. John
5. Emptying the bass locker bump
6. SOLD Bitsa with Di Marzio 70's pups, larger Schaller machineheads. Squire body and neck. All put together and relic'd by Bassdoc (Howard). The neck is particularly nice, real quality feel to it. 41mm nut width Strung with new round wounds. Lovely action, intonation spot on. 8.6 lbs on the bathroom scales No trades as I'm no longer playing bass, just cash.
7. Mmmmm? Sounds like you're all being set up....
8. I fed Greg's tinkering/self build addiction with a maple neck, prompt payment, great comms and an all round cool guy to deal with, thanks! John
9. Westfield P bass, excellent condition. The output from the pickup is surprisingly beefy. This belongs to a student, and I used it for a weekend in a house band. Got some funny looks, but no comments about why a 6'4 18 stone bloke has a pink bass! Anyway, it sounded and played great....drummer loved its clarity. Would buy it myself, but don't really need it. Will have strings & comes in a hard case. £70 posted. Happy to meet up if you'd rather, Bath or Dorset area.
10. Bought a P bass from Joe. Perfect transaction, bass was better than described, great price, great comms, perfect gentleman, even arranged courier before money had hit his account! Thanks Joe, John
11. On eBay, make me an offer. Might entertain a fretless neck in a trade.
12. Paul bought some strings from me. Paid promptly, no worries. Thanks, John
13. Brian bought a bridge from me. Once again, paid uber fast and good comms. John
14. SOLD Used for one night. Fitted to P bass. Great sound, wonderful feel, just got too light a gauge. £10 posted, half price!
15. Ok, neck sold. Loaded body, without bridge available at £45 ono, try me.
16. Really must get this going. Will put the neck into the deal for £75 posted. That's a whole bass, without a bridge or case for £75.....really! The neck is detached, and that's how it will be posted. It's very simple to reattach, with resessed neck plate.
17. Parting out options bump Loaded body £50 posted Unloaded £40 SOLD High mass bridge with spiral saddles SOLD £10 P/J pup set £15
18. Body left, without bridge. Hand made (sometime in the 80's) with quality hardware I'm in north Dorset, but travel up to Bath regularly so could meet up nearby. 19.
...why does the thought of a secret bottle of whisky stashed away spring to mind? !!
It was the bands' portable bar. :-)
20.
Not seen anything quite like this with plush velvet lining inside the bass! I imagine its a very different instrument when amplified to when its not. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Upright-Travel-Bass-Project-Custom-Double-Parts-made-by-Bassix-UK-/171218468217?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Sting_Instruments&hash=item27dd6a7d79
Haha, that was made for me by Alan. It came with a mag pup that was fitted to end of the neck. Everything fitted inside the half body case. Looked very interesting on stage.
21.
It was Steve bbb, but it would seem he no longer works at that company. Perhaps he can point you in the right direction though.
Cheers, I'll ping him a PM
