1. Cheers fellas for the nice comments. Its cool, I've been insulted by proffeshnuls, so a few comments on here aren't gonna hurt ......it's just people's opinions, not taken personally. :-) It's actually a really nice playing bass, with the worst lacquering finish on the headstock in the history of lacquering, but I actually like its ugliness. Sold too...
2. Great amps these. Light as a feather yet loads of headroom. GLWTS!
3. Awww shucks fellas, much luv back at ya :-) Looks like this has sold on fleabay, just waiting for the money. John
4. Squier VM body, VM fretless neck, wilkinson large plate tuners, wilkinson brass saddled bridge, Squire single coil Vintage P pickup, Dimarzio jazz pup, no name (but quality) wiring harness, with battery box if active modification wanted, a few chips in the finish on the body......and the worst lacquering job in the world on the headstock. But to be honest I've always liked the whole look of the thing, like its been in a war or two. Don't want to sell, but I can't seem to shift my G&L, EA or BFM cabs, so this is on the altar. Add £15 for pp, or I can meet up near Dorset, Somerset, Bristol, Bath.
5. Gareth bought a wee fretless travel bass from me. Very understanding when my week went from bad to worse. Anyway paid quickly and kept me informed all the way! Thanks, John
6.
Jeff bought a pickup and pot harness. Paid swiftly and let me know when it arrived, brilliant! Cheers, John
This has happened twice, usual prompt payment! Thanks Jeff! John
7. Incredibly late post, but Rich is a trusted guy to do business with, he sold me an LMII which arrived bang on time in great nick...good chap! John

12. Sudden and unexpected circumstances have led me to reluctantly sell some gear. This is a Tanglewood TWRB E bass. Excellent condition, never gigged. Its similar to a U bass, but larger. It has built in eq and tuner. Currently fitted with "Pahoehoe" black polyurethane strings, but I will include the original white strings. Huge sound when plugged in. Wouldn't sell if I didn't have to. To give you an idea of size, here it is next to my dreadnought 6 string. 23" scale Overall length 34". Will come well packed in its original box. I'm in north Dorset, or Bristol midweek if you need to meet up and collect. Thanks, John
13. £350 + pp Sudden and unexpected circumstances have led me to sell some gear. First off is this, which I still can't believe I'm letting go, but bills need to be paid, food needs to be bought. I bought this lovely L2000 which had a nice pick-guard fitted in a Stingray style. However, I found the neck so uncomfortable I was not enjoying playing it. But I liked the tonal variation the eq/pups offered. So I had a slimmer neck fitted by a local luthier who does my set ups and repairs...the nut width is 36mm. It has black machineheads and string tree fitted. As the original neck had an extra fret, the replacement was too short for correct scale length, so he made a small block to put in the heel/pocket. He then sprayed the block to match the sunburst finish. The headstock has a ding at the top The bass is a pleasure to play, gets lots of compliments from studio and live engineers for its sound. And other bassists love playing it. I called it my Leo bass, as it has a bit of everything Mr F was involved with, from fender style neck through Musicman and G&L. If you wanted to replace the neck with a G&L, Derek made no modification to the body itself, in order that this could be easily done. I spent a lot of money getting the bass to my spec, but am aware that Tributes go for much less than they are "worth" compared to other makes. But I would say £350 is a reasonable deal, and a lot less than it cost me overall, but please feel free to make offers, especially if you put cash in my hand. Comes with a case, so am willing to post @ £15 No doubt, like my EA cab, I will pester whoever ends up with this to sell it back when my circumstances change! I'm in north Dorset, but am in Bristol midweek if you want to meet up within a reasonable distance. Thanks, John

15. Fab basses these, quite light from memory.
16. After any trades? 2x10 BFM. I'm about 60 mins from Southampton John
17. Stevie, I'd be very interested too if you don't get round to sending this to Bigwan. John
18.
I have no idea what GLWTS means, but thanks!
:-) Great Long Winded Thread Starter?? Or..... Good luck with the sale!
19. These 80's SGs are seriously good guitars, and IMHO wonderfully consistent, in terms of build quality. I can't remember owning a "duff" yamaha guitar or bass. GLWTS.
20. "I hate U" carved by ghost of Leo
21.
This is my old amp and £200 is a bargain!
Agreed, its what I paid for it, plus I've added some (needed) wheels :-) Just brought it back from 2 different rehearsals today, its a wee monster this thing.
