1.
Any love for this in exchange obviously with a bit of cash your way........... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/188379-1986-yamaha-bb1100s-natural-bass-l250/page__p__1850797__hl__yamaha%20bb1100s__fromsearch__1#entry1850797
Nice! Never known a bad Yamaha. Like Blades, they are underrated, except for owners. I'm probably gonna be told I'm mad, but I'm really after something simple like a passive P. Also, I have a minimum cash limit I need for my parlour. John
2. Still here. Your inexpensive P bass, + £cash (min £250) for this lovely Jazz. Will consider px with a Parlour Acoustc with less, or no cash for right guitar.
3. You're right Ryan, he did stick a musicman up for sale.....and I now have it! Graham was a gent throughout the transaction, even wrote me instructions on how to get home quicker after I picked the Stingray up. I think he was keen to get rid of me before he changed his mind! Thanks, John
4.
I wrote this before the events earlier today however....!
Its embarrassing.....:-(
5. Nice to have strapped on yer Ricky Pete! Watching the Juve match tonight? I'm not looking forward to it tbh....bit worried :-(
6. Hi Rhys, thanks for the post. According to a message from Blade, the serial number dates it to '91 I did have one before this, which I bought on BC, same colour, might have been that one? Thanks Jim, yup up there easily with MIJ Fenders build quality, with better spec too. John

And I worked it all out by myself*
Good man yerself there Andrew! ........now you'll be doing it all the time and mrs Apa will regret "helping" :-) Yup cracking photos John. Nice one of the group plus Jo Burt, minus the good Capt!
8.
What an interesting and informative day, definitely worth the trip from Cornwall. So glad I didn't take my bass, would've been like taking a Ford Escort to a supercar show... but nice to meet everyone anyways! More ladies at the next one, please!!
It was good to see you there Rex, shame we never saw the Les Paul!

12.
Hi - Just joined this group after hearing about the South-West gathering when I was at Mansons Guitar Show today. I dont live too far from Milborne Port so thought I might pop in. What happens at these events - chatting, buying/selling, playing?
Welcome! What happens? All those things. Very chilled, have a gander at people's gear, maybe have a play on it too, chat. It's in a pub, so maybe a pint and a pie? Look forward to seeing you tomorrow. John
13.
Due to some optimism regarding the post to down here, the promised Basschat Heirlooms for the first 10 through the door will not hit Dorset till at least Monday. Apologies and I hope that will not stop people attending!
I'm sure the venue will let people sleep over so they can get the Basschat wares on Monday.
I'll be there providing me and Thor survive gigs in Shrewton and Salisbury respectively
Aaaargh Shrewton, the "Helmand Province of Wiltshire". Tough it out guys, and see you Sunday Jon!
14. Just another update. Just spoken to Jo Burt. He'll be bringing his fretless P which is a first production model and it has some stories to tell. Sorry you can't make it Andy. Darn fuel costs!
15. Any good guitar shops to visit around Blackpool area? Fancy a gander whilst working.
16. Ryan bought a Peavey QuadB4 from me. Paid quickly, great comms, all good, nice guy. Thanks.
17. Indeed we might struggle! :-) Shameless plug for Jo's latest video http://www.joburt.co.uk/video.html
18. Ok chaps, Jo Burt ex Sabbath, Queen, Freddie Mercury and others, will be coming to the bash. He's a nice chap and has some great road trip stories. I thought, if people were interested, Jo might have 20 mins to share some stories and answer any questions any if us have about working with some Divas! I've asked him to bring along a bass or two that had some "stories". John
19. Cheers Gary! No trades I'm afraid aj, and PM replied to Ryan. Peavey now sold (subject to usual).
20. On eBay now. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Doug-Wilkes-BI-4-String-Bass-UK-Luthier-/110976395850?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item19d6b56a4a
21. No worries Ash. I find that they are so well balanced, and with a decent width strap you don't notice the weight. Yolanda Charles played one with Paul Weller, she's a strong girl! :-) Welcome to the forum rocklord by the way, feel free to tell us a bit about yourself.
22. These are fab basses. This is a B2, Ash body I believe, maple neck, rosewood board, made in Japan in the 90's. Separate treble & bass pots, volume and balance. Then trim pots in the cavity. I play a B4, with ebony board, super jazz bass to play, loads of tonal options. These tend to go under the radar. My B4 is quite heavy though Ash
