1. If someone would buy my status 6 string I'd have this. Very much miss the Lakland Duck Dunn I had. They make superb necks. Oh we'll, at this price it'll be gone. I'd wish you best of luck with the sale, but you won't need it Karl. John
2. Can't view the pics Andy...:-(
3.
I've also got my MIA Fender Jazz up for sale.
WHERE??........ (You did say any questions plz shout) I'm after a USA jazz, so anymore details Derek would be appreciated. John
4. I have tried a couple of ERB's recently, to see if they're for me. But alas I've come to the conclusion that I've neither the time or inclination to get stuck in to the Stick or 6 string basses I've bought. What's more all the bands I play in are with old people like me, and their pacemakers need restarting everytime I turn up with anything other than a P. And I'm playing a lot more ....guitar....recently too. So, this Status Energy is up for trade or straight sale. Here's Ash's original thread (hope that's ok Ash?) until I get some pics myself, but its in exactly same condition and has a brand new set of Super Slinky's on it and set up a little lower. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/184279-status-energy-6-string-bass-for-sale-again/page__hl__status The neck profile on this is my favourite, like the Groove basses, flat and easily accessible. It's not heavy either, but then again my go to bass is an old Blade B4 and that IS heavy! Trade options Passive P, J or P/J 4 string bass...(prefer black/maple) with added pennies for the right one. Nice acoustic 6 string. Maybe a bass combo? To conform to rules...trade value £330-350, but don't let that stop you from offering something more valuable....I may have some pennies under the mattress. Or offer something less financially valuable and give me some shillings? I'm in North Dorset, but am near to A303, so the M3 corridor is accessible if you want to meet up, or come and have a noodle. Can easily get to Bournemouth, Bristol, Exeter, Basingstoke areas. Thanks for looking.
5.
Would it have been cooler to have ignored the photographer?
Who cares, at least you look like you're enjoying yourself :-)
6. Still from video shoot on Saturday. It was really cold by late afternoon and wish I'd worn a jacket.
7. Sorry sold last week with my stick bass. Post amended now.
8.
I've got a Hindersine bag
Same here, excellent value.
9.
Nice bass - looks German or eastern European to me 50's to 70's I reckon. Finish looks like cuprinol fence preserver no.4 "walnut dream" so will be ideal for outdoor gigs
Lol..! Cheers Bob....perhaps it was used to escape a flood then? :-) The previous owner reckoned it had been dragged around the west end club scene during the 60's, so a 50's date might not be too far off.
10. Mmmmm much mystery :-) Thanks for your thoughts gents.
11. Really pleased for you. I found once I gigged the DB for the first time there was no going back. Much prefer DB to electric these days. Are you enjoying the physical aspect of playing it? I tend to dance with mine, well..smooch. love it!
12. This is Paddy (even though she's a she). She's named in tribute to its previous owner, the finest singer I have had the honour of working with, who sadly past away 18 months ago. Paddy is not for sale, I'm more interested in its origins. Paddy's had a hard life as you can see, but has mahoosive volume for a ply bass and records beautifully with a mic, but has a nice defined click & boom with the TM pup too despite her looks. It's had numerous repairs and looks like its been used to escape a flood and toboggan down an alpine slope. There are no labels inside. Anyone think they can identify its likely origins? Thanks for looking.
13. Another thumbs up for Mark. He made me an offer I couldn't refuse.....I don't know how the man affords to eat :-) I even had enough change for a celebratory sausage roll after I paid.......perhaps I should have shared it with him? Thanks Mark! John
14. Hi Pete! Just to say Pete is a great chap, and, despite my warnings, has joined and visited the for sale section. Buy with confidence. (He's also a very good bass player/teacher by the way, he's too modest to say so himself). John
15. It's pretty much like a Hohner Jack, with a P pup. They're nice little basses, don't see why this shouldn't be?
16. Ooooh a match made on BC? Pete, jigster is a fine upstanding member of this parish, so deal with confidence. He's been known to buy as many basses as me. John
17. That is lovely! :-), best wishes with the sale. John
18. Hides the headstock and excludes Rockbass from the main title....lots of bidders, wonder how many read the description before bidding?
19. Bought a 6 string off Ash, nice easy deal. Item perfectly described, packaged well and great communication all the way through. Cheers, John
20. Sorry binky old chap....it looks like it sold this morning first thing. If it falls through I'll get back atcha. John
21. Cheers Andy. Gonna offer this with a trade option. What have people got lying around that they're happy to trade for this? Seriously consider offers on: - Bass combo Amp Cab Fretless bass Acoustic guitar Keyboard/piano Value of around £299
22. Andy, do you not like your LM Tube head? A 115 cab with that head would seem a good solution as the amps are small and portable. I see you already have a 115 trace cab, so are you looking to get 2 15 speakers under an amp eventually? The GK Neo 115 have a good rep. I think they may do a combo with a neo too.
