Enjoying watching the 2012 BBC performance. Great band, DB looking like he’s enjoying himself, his voice is terrific and the audience are loving it. Sadly let down by the music stand to his right. Amateur.

Some more pics. The colour is more of an aged cream white. I’ve removed the pickguard cover now btw. I might be interested in selling the loaded body as there’s a P style body that the neck would suit. I was going to buy but had to pull out sorry @hooky_lowdown Or might just keep it as a back up or for some 80’s slap! 😂

Anyone else waiting for a Parcelforce delivery that’s overdue? Waiting for a NBD. 3 days overdue. The tracking showing it was picked up and delivered to Hub, but notification stating that it’s stuck there for a number of reasons around staffing/strikes/wrong kind of snow on the lines. The seller is more anxious than I am. Nothing I can do about it, and I’ve discovered that anger has no influence over delivery speed.

Wow, that’s some dump run then!

That’s my wife’s pictured nightmare of me returning every time I say, “I’m just popping into town for some new strings”.

Cheers @Al Krow I sourced a SmoothHound system in the end. The guitarist has the same system and it’s working well so far.

The trick EB possibly missed was not making a “Flea” bass that was an affordable alternative to a Ray. Maybe a Flea SUB or the like. Most of the Flea fanboys I knew were teenagers who couldn’t afford an actual Stingray.

A good home has been found: Tanglewood TW55A Acoustic electric bass

@tredders I used to teach music in prisons and we were always needing decent instruments. Billy Bragg donated some through his Jail Guitar Doors charity, which was really helpful. Whatever people’s thoughts/attitudes are towards the “residents” and the crimes they commit, Music is a powerful way of teaching some important life skills such as listening, deferring to others, being creative, performance, confidence, team work, patience, perspective taking, etc. If you have a prison near you, get in touch with them maybe? Education dept or chaplaincy are usually where us Care Bears work. Ps I’ve seen a fair bit of criminal bass playing in my time. 😂 -
I know what you mean. My preference is up to 1976 culminating with Blue Moves being my favourite album. Not a massive fan of anything after that. However, that performance last night was fabulous and very nostalgic for me.

Enjoying catching up with the Jacob Collier set. Not my usual cuppa, but it’s great. Love how he got the crowd holding that 3 part harmony at the beginning. Beautiful. Robin Mullarkey playing his bass vi. Nice.
