1. Seymour duncan MM 3 band eq preamp £50 posted Seymour Duncan MM pickup £50 posted £80 posted together Or would consider possible trade with active Jazz preamp that is a straight forward replacement for passive controls (if one exists?). Bought from Derrenleepoole last week for a bass project that I can no longer afford to complete, so these are up again, I haven't touched them since receiving them. All boxed/instructions. Here is Derren's OT (hope you don't mind D). http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=105544 John
 2.
Is there anyone going from the Cardiff area to the Dorset area by car next week that could take a bass combo with them? I've just sold my Ashdown combo to a fellow Basschatter in Shaftsbury & am seeing if there are any other options before he drives all the way here to pick the amp up. Cheers!
Thanks Rhys. Bristol would be ok, it's about 40 mins to Brizzle from me. John
 3. Is there anyone who commutes from Cardiff to Bristol (areas) or visa versa who could shove a small combo in the back of there car please??? I would meet up in Bristol to take it off your hands. Money for bridge toll/petrol/inconvenience would be paid. I just don't trust couriers with stuff, and Cardiff is a long way to go from Dorset. many thanks if anyone can help. John
 4. Don't offer gear...end of. Had 2 bad recent experiences of other bands using my gear: 1) We were headlining and I offered the rest of the other bass players my rig, to save set up time/blah/blah. Both bass players were very happy to do so. I went through the whole Input/Master volume control thing and "no drinks on my amp or I will kill you" lecture. First bassist was fine, so I went off for a drink and a bite to eat, 2nd hadn't listened at all and complained to me after that the bass fed back, distortion, blah and turns out he had set input to 2 and master to full. 2) Set up my rig, went off for drinks whilst support band were playing (bass player had his own rig). Came back to find both my cabs removed from original position, separately propping up the guitarist and keyboard players back line. Promoters: 1) Got to a small gig recently and the "promoter" hadn't provided any PA. His excuse was he saw us at a festival and thought we provided our own PA for the festival as we were headlining....this guy has apparently organised loads of gigs locally. 2) Played my last gig and was told not to bring any back line as the promoter was providing it. It was a crap underpowered combo and the other bands had brought their own (obviously knew something). I am retiring from electric bass gigging at the end of this year, I am too old to be dealing with a constant stream of knobs. Double bass/PJ combo/small gigs.....that's the way to go, I can just enjoy playing music.
 5. Not much interest in this so have decided to remove one of the cabs to see if that'll tempt anyone, and sell as:- [s]Head[/s] [s]with one of the mini's, you can choose which one (see OP for specs) [/s] Comes with 4x8 and no longer racked with tuner. [s]£500[/s] £450 John
 6.
Oh ha, I think I texted you about this, was it on gumtree? Unfortunately I couldn't buy it all, looks great for the price though!
Hi, yes it was me. Wasn't getting much interest as a rig here, so shoved it on gumtree to see if would go there. I could sell the head & tuner 4 times over, but the mini's aren't particularly well known, which is a shame as they are amazing for their size. Some owners who, like me, have had the Ashdown mini's too, prefer these....better celestion drivers. Would rather sell as a whole....seems a good rig for the price.
 7.
Good man. Although in one of my bands, I am the only member who can't read music, which means I get left to create all the bass lines because she can't tell me what to do LOL!
Now you know that reading music doesn't mean you can't create your own bass lines you naughty boy!
 8.
Cheat sheets / Crib sheets for the win! I've had similar situations too and have found that a gentle reminder of the structure on a sheet is enough. All the fills and licks I am fine with but I make a note of stops and changes that could catch me out.
Wot he said!
 9.
hello, won't you split ?
Hi, I originally had the 4x8 for sale, but I've decided to sell the whole rig. So, for now, I'm not splitting sorry. John
 10. Decided to down size as I'm not gigging electric bass after Christmas and I have a PJ briefcase coming for my DB. I'm also skint. So we have here the following:- Mark Bass LMii which came out of a Markbass combo, but was re-sleeved by Markbass. This came from Grand Wazoo so quality assured. Was immediately put into a rack unit with Markbass ears. It is an LMII, the colour scheme is reversed on combos, and it has "combo head" logo on front panel. Mini 4x8 600 watt @ 8 Ohm cabinet. Same spec as Ashdown, but looks sexier with red trim and has (IMBO) better drivers (Celestions). 1x Speakon-Speakon lead & Rack ears Incredibly compact rig for £450 All in excellent condition. This is collection from North Dorset only. But I could deliver up to Bristol/Exeter/Basingstoke/Southampton for petrol costs. I have an acute distrust of couriers handling "expensive" equipment, so if you need this couriered please feel free to arrange collection & delivery at your expense & liability.
 11. Ahh Herr Doktor! Mit de tortoiseshellen??!

 15.
Hi John, The Spyder is a fantastic amp, it sound like my Little Bastard with more power and guts, a real beast of an amp. Its well worth considering as the price is very good. I've used it no more than a dozen times and it is as new. Let me know if you want it. Thanks mate. Marc
No money dude......hence the sale of the 6 string
 16.
Would you like a great sounding Sandberg JJ5...... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=105568 I would trade with some cash coming my way if you are interested. Marc
Hey Marc, That's a lovely Sanberg, but I'm having to sell stuff to pay domestic bills at the moment, sorry! John PS If I'd had the money I'd probably buy your Spyder, I've always fancied one of them.
 17. Slowly getting rid of back line as I'm stopping gigging electric after Christmas and a change in circumstances means I'm selling bits to pay for household necessities. First off: 4x8 mini cab for sale. Picture shows their size compared to a Mark bass head. The equivalent 1x15 is underneath. Exactly the same as Ashdown Mini 48, but without the Ashdown badge, but with red piping. Apparently made by the same company that makes Ashdowns cabs. Nice looker, black vinyl(?) cover with red piping. 4x8 is 8ohm 600 watts weighs bout 30kg. The drivers are celestions, from looking through the rear ports. Dimensions are 47x47x34cm, nice square shape!!. Nice condition and well looked after. I'm in North Dorset and I'm happy to drive and meet, or deliver, no more than 25 miles from where I am as well as courier.
