Terribly sorry, there was a nonsense post on this thread from an new user that's now been removed and I feel my comments on that post have derailed your thread. My sincere apologies.
Hey no worries TPJ, just wondering what was happening. Thanks for explaining (and the free bump). John

Confused of Dorset here.....what's going on, what hack?
-
I know what you mean. I recently got rid of all my basses, apart from my Jazz bass. It does all I want.................until............... All was going well until I saw a G&L SB-2 on here this week and bought it. Now I'll be gigging that tonight coz I love the huge voice of the Pups on this. So....will I end up just using that??? It's an ongoing thing with me, and if you'd sell me your L2500, maybe I'd never use the Jazz or the SB-2 again, coz for me the L2500 are such good all rounders. Man I feel for you, I hate these decisions.
I know lots of people dislike the guy, because of what they read and see of him in the meejah, but this isn't about that.
So glad you put that in silddx, hopefully the thread can continue to be about him as a musician. Saw the Police when they supported Ten Years After way back in late 70's, then again when Walking on the moon had just charted. Sting was the most "energetic" musician I had ever seen live, blew me away both times. Great songs, vox and bass lines. Whatever material of his I have listened to, he seems to use space really well, "less is more" kind of thing (most of the time). I also like the way he has explored different genre since the Police days. Not all his material is to my taste, but I respect him as a musician, totally. John

Ok, will probably regret this, but I've bought a second acoustic upright and need to sell something to meet part of the bill. So as this Bassix doesn't get played as much as my acoustic DB, this has to go. It's the basschat EUB "bike" as it's done the rounds here. It has 1 x piezo chamber pickup, 1 x 4 pole pickup at end of fretboard. These are fed to the on board preamp/3 band eq, which also has 4 settings. These 2 pups can be balanced too, using the knob on the body. But they can also be mixed with the (adjustable) bridge pickup, via a K&K 2 channel pre amp. This gives an amazing variation of tones, from slap to dark boom. What I liked most about this was the chambered body gives the sound an acoustic quality. I play in a quartet playing Django/Westen swing/20's stuff and the band like a "true" sound, and this didn't disappoint. It is currently strung with eurosonic strings, as I like their gut sound. http://www.gollihurmusic.com/product/1250-...RINGS_SETS.html It comes with a fleece lined gig bag and an EUB stand. It has battle scars as it is a gigged instrument. But I have kept good care of it since it came into my possession, so no further scrapes. I'm in Dorset and would prefer pickup/meet, but it does come with a "coffin" for courier but I think it is expensive to post. Feel free to ask me any questions.

Here we have a Sheridan Les Paul copy. These are aimed at competing with Epiphone's copy range, except they have EMG Hz pups in and they are pretty hot. Anyway, I bought it as I liked the sound and thought I would use it for teaching. But I still pick up my tele by default, so it's been hanging on my wall for 2 months since buying it and I could do with raising some cash. So it's yours for £99 delivered up to 1 hour from my home in North Dorset,. No case, or gig bag, but it will be packed securely in a box. Pics tonight, but it's this.
I've sent the seller a nice message enquiring about the bass ....I'll let you know their answer (if indeed they do answer).
Here's the reply to my fairly detailed questions about the bass: "Hi, thank you very much for your detailed enquiry. I hadn't seen this one before either, but on asking the question to my supplier, unfortunately it seems we've missed the boat on this model as it has now gone. I'm sourcing an alternative now, but if you would like me to look for a specific type, colour, make, style, I can do the leg work for you. Please drop me a reply asap as I will need to end this item today." Mmmm....there were 5 in stock yesterday when I made the enquiry.........they must have all ran out the shop like street traders when they heard the sirens! Amazing what people will try innit -

Indeedy gentlemen. He is also selling "fender" strats for £199. Not subtle is he....... -
Saw this and quite fancied one for a backup 5 string. Not seen these before though. Will contact the seller at some point, but thought I'd ask on here first.
