  1. Played drums once for the TV Personalities at the Rock Garden in very early 80’s. I knew Dan and that they were crap, but so was I. Never again.
  2. Just pulled the trigger on a classical I’ve been after, so need this gone. £135 to your door! Lovely solid top parlour, plays and sounds great, but sadly I’m too used to my Seagull’s 47.5mm nut width and the 3mm difference is noticeable with my big ol fingeeees. Great condition, a few marks on back of neck, but never gigged. No case, but if needs posting then I’ll get a box from local guitar store to courier proof it. Prefer collection or meet up, but will post. No trades thanks. Spec here: Body Size: 00-12 Fret Construction: Dovetail Neck Joint Top: Solid Sitka Spruce Back & Sides: Mahogany Neck: Mahogany, Low Profile Nut & Saddle: Bone Fingerboard & Bridge: Micarta Scale Length: 25.4” (645 mm) Neck width at nut: 1-11/16” (42,9 mm) Truss Rod: Two way Truss Rod Tuning Machines: Chrome, diecast Electronics: Preamp (with Tuner) Finish: Satin
  3. “price doesn’t reflect quality” bump. If anyone knows the best way to courier this safely, then I’m all ears. But I would think it would be expensive. However I’m happy to source packing materials if needs be.
  4. Bump with postage option and part out options Neck with Schaller machineheads £100 posted. Body loaded £100 posted.
  5. Lovely bitsa! Very Tony Franklin GLWTS
  6. Hi Chris, things could be better mate, but we’re getting there. I don’t want to pass this on, I’ve been after a Sting a like maple P for a while, but circumstances have taken a turn and 2 basses and my Ashdown have got to go.
  7. Hi Pete The dots are on the fret position my friend, on the fret positions. As the good Lord intended. 😂 cheers John
  8. As someone with dairy intolerance, “plays like butter” isn’t a selling point.
  9. That album was not a “congregation live” recording. GK singing verses mostly solo, with b/vs coming in on chorus/harmonies. In my experience (again back in the day) many of the “live” CCW recordings were studio recorded, with a congregation recorded singing along to the recording after. I’ve no idea how things are done these days however 🙏
  10. Back in the late 80’s I was recording with a certain WL who’s series of albums were nicknamed by the band “Make way (for my bank balance)”. If you’re under 50, this is likely lost on you…. However, the guide vocals on one song of the Christmas album, I noticed the line “send invitations.. to all the Alsatians”. The German shepherd is obviously favoured amongst Christendom.
  11. Maybe I’m underpricing it 😂 Always happy to take more?
  12. I’ll check when I can access the bathroom. 👍🏻
  13. Cheers Nick. Facing a couple of things at the moment, but NHS is brilliant despite the pressure they’re under.
  14. One young worship leader used to use “There is a day” by Phatfish a lot. However he always sang “clothed in immorality” until some spoilsport pointed out that “immortality” was the correct lyric. The fact that his father (who was the pastor) didn’t notice, made it funnier.
  15. Having complete clear out. Sting-a-like fretless P. G&B Ash body Unknown P neck large plate vintage tuners SD Vintage P pup Schaller style strap locks Plays great, sounds great, looks cool Has a cheeky “Finder” decal in a certain style. £250, owes me more. But need to move all my stuff. Not posting sorry, I don’t have the time or patience with current circumstances. Happy to meet up Bath/Bristol/Bridgwater.
  16. Looks like an early Marco Di Philippi
  17. Looking on TB, the “made by Höfner”narrative seems to be supported. I have no idea if it was said once, then copied and pasted thereafter, like much of the internets “facts”. Intriguing little bass though. 😎
