  1. Looking to source just the control plate, not the whole pick guard for a standard P bass (not a 51/ Tele). Found some rocking horse poo, but not the above. Any pointers? I’m not up to making one. Thanks.
  2. SOLD Both new, fitted once and taken straight off as wrong shades to match my existing P’s One on left is a kind of red/brown. Both 13 hole fits. £10 the pair posted. That’s less than the price of one. Just don’t want them hanging around. Cheers John
  3. Have to say I’ve been very impressed by their customer service. Sent the amp section of my NEO combo to them for repair/service on Monday, which they received yesterday. Notified today that they’d fixed it and it’s on its way back to me, delivery sometime today! Always found Mark and both Dave’s helpful. A lot of companies could learn a thing or two about looking after your customers from these guys.
  4. Why is this still here??? 😮 Seriously! £599?
  5. Wal bought a pickguard off me. Paid quick and great comms. All good.
  6. Ah It’s not an open and shut case then? I didn’t get a handle on what was going on. This will carry on for a bit then. That’s all…..for now.
  7. Good build quality Steve for sure.
  8. To me Mick, yes. I looked at a couple of other options, and for my needs and price point, it hit the target. 👍🏻 I’ve been meaning to get a DI pedal with eq for a while, and need silent practice options. 😎
  9. Arrived this morning from Thomann, ordered middle of last week. Tested it out using battery (PSU coming tomorrow). Plugged in a P bass, headphones and an iPad and that was an hour gone playing along with some Bernard classics. Such a great little package, does exactly what I bought it for, which is silent practice. Had a play around with the cab sims and the overdrive/fuzz options, which sounded overdriven and fuzzy, with a variety of control of how overdriven or fuzzy you want. I’m unlikely to ever use them, as I have a bit of tube pre on my Ashdown, but nice to know they’re there. Handy as a stand alone DI box too with the eq/OD, and, I guess, you could take it along to a dodgy car park when you want to try out the bass you really shouldn’t be buying, but are compelled to as it’s THE one…definitely! A good purchase I’d say.
  10. I had a factory fretless bought from Machinehead back in early 80’s. Sounded great.
  11. Yes does look nicely put together.
  12. Ashdown NEO 2x10 ABM combo. Great combo, but developed a fault which is that the pre amp works, all switches and dials working, but the volume is intermittent and very low, with an occasional expected volume. I’ve looked inside and the drivers all look like they’re connected ok. I didn’t notice it until I used it in a studio, when the engineer took a line out and although the pre amp worked fine as a DI, the cab volume started going very quiet and intermittent. I contacted Ashdown and they thought it was as a result of a faulty line in the studio and the power stage shut down. But it’s continued back home now. Power amp? Drivers? Cable from drivers to power stage? Cable Input? Although I tried both inputs and same thing happens. I’m taking it to the guy I use for amp tech stuff in a couple of weeks time, but would be interested in any thoughts here. Thanks for reading this far.
  13. SOLD As above. In excellent shape. Would sell, or swap for vintage red (or whatever colour is on my fretless P as shown) tort scratchplate. Thanks John
  14. Having a P on the sofa is very satisfying. Here are my 2 bitsas. Fretless has tonerider pups and series/parallel switching. Fretted just been put together and soon to have some SD pups replacements. Put a cheeky “Finder” decal on.
  15. Holy thread resurrection shuffle Batman!! Just ordered one of these from Thomann! £119 + £8 shipping.
  16. That’s lovely Josh. Not seen one like that before. GLWTS
  17. Ah, couldn’t see anything on line. Wondered if there was a work around. Shame, Line 6 missed a trick there. The Pod pocket has one, but not the big “bean” Pods. Thanks.
  18. Something to do with scallops, filing, large hands and the wrong bridge. It’s a perfectly balanced story line apparently.
  19. Hi, does this have an aux input (for mp3 etc)? I’m guessing this works well as a headphone amp, for practice? Cheers
  20. Ah! Thanks, surprised it hadn’t been brought up before. 🤦🏻‍♂️😊 I thought they only increased in value once they’d been “improved” for “perfect balance “ by everyone’s favourite wielder of the chisel?!
  21. Look at the other HBs he’s selling. Some of you are sitting on a gold mine 🙄😂 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Harley-Benton-BZ-7000-NT-7-string-bass-guitar-/265379441659?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  22. Well if nothing transpires on the local front, might have to think about posting it John.
