  1. Put an offer in, was declined thankfully. Don’t need it, but so what. Do I increase the offer or walk away 🤪
  2. Thats what I thought. Looks great. 👍🏻
  3. I’d want to know (if I joined a band) how the last incumbent “left”. Says a lot about people how they deal with others. Although of course you’re likely to only hear one side unless you can be bothered to find the ex member.
  4. It’s ok, it was a joke, a reference to past arguments about the use of music stands.
  5. Darn it! I wanted Gail to know how disappointed this community is with her use of a music stand
  6. Badly placed decal too, let alone the wonky machineheads.
  7. For that price I’d want a taxi thrown in to get me to the fret board. Have you seen the action on that??
  8. Ha, I know what they paid for that. Nice profit if it sells. I have one. The body, hardware and pickups are superb, I wasn’t keen on the neck profile, but it was well enough made. I put a P neck on mine and it’s retired my other basses.
  9. Relisted. Squier VM or CV Body, in great nick and lovely aged white finish. Loaded with a hot G&L MDF pup and lovely Ki0gon loom, gold pickguard. Colour comparison to the arctic white jazz bass. £180 posted.
  10. Unknown make neck. P profile nut width. Rosewood board. I’ll put measurements up later. Comes with some NOS Korean made Akkord machineheads, screws and string tree. I’ll throw in a neck plate and screws if you need them. Some tarnish to 12th fret. £50 posted.
  11. I haven’t tried to fit the neck to the body, or the machineheads to the neck. But I have offered up the neck and it looks like a snug fit with perhaps a little sanding, after removing the scratchplate.
  12. Lovely P body, loaded with a beast of MFD pickups and KiOgon loom. Think it might be a Classic Vibe or VM Squier. Lovely off white colour (compare next to my white Jazz). Anodised gold scratchplate, thumb rest and pup cover. I used this with a superb P neck that I’ve now fitted to a jazz bass.
  13. Got this with a Signature Jazz Body NOS. The body was immaculate but the neck ferrule holes in the headstock were “chewed” where they’d either had machine head ferrules fitted and then roughly removed, or were roughly drilled. However, when I fitted some machineheads they were covered. There is a mark on the top of the headstock as pictured and a blemish in the finish at the top of the headstock face. Don't know much about these, but it’s a decent enough neck but a little slim for my liking so I’ve fitted a chunky wide P neck to the body and it’s perfect for my needs. Nice Rosewood board. Truss turns both ways. The line on the heel end isn’t a crack, it looks more like an ink line or stain. It has a micro tilt plate on the heel (the body has the corresponding grub screw). My feeling is that perhaps the neck didn’t pass QC with the headstock finish? Anyway £40 posted seems reasonable.
  14. Couple of bridge position humbuckers and a loom with V/T pots. Bought for a project jazz hollow body guitar, but I couldn’t get the loom to fit as my hands are too big to get inside the body, and don’t have the correct tools either. Guitar moved on and have these hanging around. The one in the black surround was bought used and the Wilkinson was new. All together £25 posted.
  15. That’s a proper grown up bass. Bet it does the Times crossword every morning whilst smoking a pipe. Nice!
  16. Hi Grezza Did the machineheads go with the sold neck, or are they still available? cheers John
  17. Zoom R8. Standalone 8 Track recorder. Also acts as an audio interface, and DAW controller and sampler. Pretty much covers most bases for recording. Comes with an SD card. Runs on mains (PSU supplied) or batteries so is great for on the road capturing ideas. Has drum machine built in, loads of fx for guitar/vox and mixing. Bought this at the same time my wife bought me (unbeknownst to me) an Audio Interface I’d also been looking at for a while. This is excess to requirements. Boxed, instructions, SD card and PSU Specs: https://zoomcorp.com/en/gb/digital-mixer-multi-track-recorders/multi-track-recorders/r8/
  18. Clearly had lessons from “you know who” given the “jaunty” angled machineheads.
  19. Originals rock/pop band with own rehearsal space, backline, PA and band bus. Somerset/Dorset area. PM for more details.
  20. As Hubrad says, the wheels just need putting in between to make an adjustable bridge. But it does mean the action is higher. So I think maybe a new bridge would give the buyer a chance to get a better functioning bridge. They’re about £10 off eBay. You’re welcome to come and try it anytime Mike.
  21. Where did you find yours? Never heard of them before. I like the micro-tilt function on the neck heel.
  22. Bought on a whim, but I don’t have the inclination to play it. It's in good condition everything works, bridge fitted correctly and comes with a new spare bridge. The hard case is a nice bonus. Leather strap and some spare strings £50 seems fair.
