My first impression was Frank Spencer. I soon progresses on to David Frost and hit the heights with (and I quote) “a stunning impression of Kev the milkman”, or “dad” as he was known on our street. Again, great thread.

Found some spare strings in my spares case and for the life of me don’t know what make they are. Be nice to have some idea before putting them FS. Weird tailpiece ends. Any ideas? Thanks

Saw a great gig... but the sound was awful 😕
oldslapper replied to EJWW's topic in General Discussion
Saw Roger Taylor at Bath Forum last week. We sat front circle. Great band, but couldn’t hear one defined note from bass player Neil Fairclough. Lots of keys, lead guitar, snare, mushy kick drum and (thankfully fantastic) vocals. But nothing from Neil’s fine playing. I didn’t move around to try different places to listen, but could have been simply location. Frustrating though. -
SOLD Loaded Jazz body

SOLD Was hoping to just sell the body and keep the neck for a project, but no joy. So whole bass for sale. Wilkinson tuners fitted and cheeky F logo on headstock. Original 2 saddle thru body bridge fitted. No case, but will be packaged securely, with neck off to help reduce negative consequence from a couriers’ “enthusiasm”. Despite position of the bucker, it has a lovely mid punch and tonal range. Pick up from Bath, or meet up within reasonable distance. Postage add £10. The replacement Retrovibe bridge can be included for added £20.

I used to use an LMii. The 48 is 600 watt 8ohm cab, the 115 300, so can take some serious power. Rear ported, I found them great in a corner if space was tight, but projected well in any situation. And small enough to fit in most cars. 48 was seriously heavy mind. I’m all sorted for backline these days, otherwise I’d be down the A350 in a flash at those prices.
