  1. Blimey! I must be the only person to have used the system without an issue. 😲 Sent guitars, and smaller musical items without a hitch. Hope you sort it @lonestar 👍🏻
  2. Check the postage address. It should be the Staffordshire one, if so don’t contact the seller to arrange anything.
  3. If it’s done through eBay global service, you don’t have to do a thing. Just send it to the eBay distribution centre in Staffordshire and they take care of the rest. The buyer pays eBay direct the additional shipping costs.
  4. Actually wanted to be either a rockstar or footballer. But I’ve just gone with “the flow”, having a very understanding wife, and one step somehow has connected with the next step. Never been happier going to work each day. Rockstar/footballer/therapist? I would end up seeing grown men cry one way or another 😊
  5. Similar coping strategies to prison staff.
  6. YOB bass. ..............🏃🏻‍♂️...........runs towards nearest lottery retailer
  7. Great thread 😊 Group therapy. Mostly with angry or violent men. Love my job. Stopped full time music to do it as I found it more fulfilling. I’m happier musically as a result. I got there via banking, retail, scaffolder, bottle washing (literally), builders merchant, addiction counselling, prison, probation, teaching and musician. My CV is not “linear”. 🤪
  8. Yes! Forgot about that. 😂 Used it once in 20 years or so.
  9. I have a lovely brown suede strap that I’ve had for years and years. Never use it, but I take it out of a case occasionally, with a mind to shifting it on. But it just ends up in another case. So it’s probably spent it’s whole time in and out of the cases of all the basses and guitars I’ve owned for past 15 years. Bizarre.
  10. No gatherings? My day job is group therapist!! That makes my work a tad challenging. I’ll be Gestalting by myself then. 🤪
  11. Unsurprisingly Belgium/Holland gigs for end of April are cancelled. As they’re the only gigs I do, I don’t be adversely affected. But I do feel for rest of band that do this stuff for a living. I’ve picked up worse things at gigs than Coronavirus mind. 🤪
  12. Yes watched it too. What great players he had around him, loved Ron Carter telling him to do one when asked to change to electric. 😊
  13. a bottle of amyl nitrate Now that’s a literal blast from my past. 🥳
  14. To be honest “whiffs” made more sense! 🤪
  15. 1976 went with a mate to Hammersmith odeon to see some band he got tickets for. Kiss 1980? Went to the Greyhound Pub, Fulham palace road, as was our habit. On walked 3 blokes with massive quiffs, blew me away. Stray Cats. 1980’s whenever me and mates had a few quid, we’d go to the Venue in Victoria, often saw QTips, who were a great band, with a certain Paul young on singing duties. Band who supported us a couple of times, had some sweaty called Alan McGee, he did alright.
  16. “These machine heads are much better at the wrong angle” ”The nut is meant to be cut this low” ”The new headstock logo in Sharpie will enhance the value fo’ Sho’. “ All turned out to be lies, can’t believe it...😢
  17. Well these are now sold. Used set, came of a bass I bought a while back. Sound fabulous bowed, just a little stiff for my liking. Threads are a bit bare at peg end on all but E string. I don’t know the manufacturer, and initially thought they were dominants, but I was reliably informed by previous owner that (and I quote) “the metal was forged from the mines of Andobrynm by the Wood pixies of Ellogoran. The silks are harvested from the fur of the (undomesticated) Tree Giraffe. And, when bowed, will summon the Great Banholven and all it’s power!!!” He then put the pipe back in his mouth, and the sound of bubbling started over. I’m not convinced. But for £20 it’s worth a punt?
  18. I wonder who’s stirring things up? It’s not stir-ing thru though
  19. Indeed, but never before lunch! ....you must have something to do in the afternoon
  20. Europe is the most hospitable place to gig in my experience. I rarely gig but U.K. venues have been less than, again in my experience.
