Good point! Thanks 🙂 Mods, can this be transposed please? Thanks

don’t think so much about the chords, but rather the interval. The diatonic chord chart is a good starting place.

Quite literally a pup cover

I have always played where the strings are exposed (between both covers) so they’ve never got in the way for me. Horses for courses of course.

Funny thing is I feel very different with thumb rests/tug bars. They come off straight away. 😆 I’ve got a few somewhere.

I could direct some of you to the wanted section..... but that might be illegal... so I won’t. 😎

Having read a few threads here which mention pick up and bridge covers, it would appear that there’s a lot of peeps that hate them. Lots of “first thing I do is take em off”, “stoopid things get in the way”, “pointless nonsense”, etc. I have to shamefully admit to being a fan, I loves em I does, especially on a P. I play guitar sometimes, which may explain my somewhat watered down attitude towards all things bass. My question is then, where have all these discarded covers gone? Is there a European “chrome cover” mountain somewhere? Have they all been melted down and turned into suits of armour? I’ve been after a set for my PJ for ages, but can’t find a used set anywhere. So suggestions below please: Where have all the covers gone? 🤯 Slappy.

What album would peeps recommend to a non Yes fan? I appreciate this is subjective. As I said before in this thread, the beginning of Roundabout was a real (pleasant) surprise to me, so that may give you an indication of where I’d like to start. I feel there’s a gap in my musical palette. Howe is a wonderful player (as was Squire). So whilst I’ve still got 4 weeks of Apple Music subscription left I’m up for a musical education folks!

Funny this thread should start today. I never got Yes as a youngster. The kids who were into Yes, or Hatfield and The North, etc were the ones who could add up or spell, and usually hopeless at sport. So I didn’t hang around with them lot and it all sounded too complicated for my small brain. Anyway fast forward 40+ years, and I pick up my daughter from the airport last week and she played some music on her phone as we chatted on the journey back, and this incredibly funky tune came on and I asked what it was and she said “Roundabout by some band called Yes”. I nearly crashed the car! The groove was fab. Then just as I was thinking, gotta get me some more Yes (and get over my prejudice), the song went into some odd timing noodle and my disappointment manifested in a massive sigh. Maybe I just like “music for the hard of thinking” 🤪 That said, fantastic musicians, and would probably have liked them more without the keyboard w@@*ery. and more of Steve Howe’s guitar playing.

Always when I’m dancing. Dad dancing, with air bass, is my way of reminding our kids who’s in charge.

It’s pretty crap and the truss rod has split the board at the first fret, but it might suit someone wanting to try their fledgling luthier skills on. Have a go at defretting or refretting, sanding and refinishing, etc before you touch a neck you’re actually thinking of attaching to a body! It’s here for collection in Bath, or surrounding areas. I could post if you’re prepared to chuck a £5 my way to cover p&p thsnks John
