  1. I’m not a 5’er player, so not something I experience but can it be unwrapped a bit? Someone here will know.
  2. I bought a unicorn at a very reasonable price from there. Run by a very nice African prince.
  3. It’s difficult to know what to charge when you’re flying blind, at least you’ll know next time. Hope it goes well anyway.
  4. £3k? Phhht I remember the good old days when a band would demand to get paid in “exposure”. You’re all soft letting venues get away with paying you money. Kids today 👴🏻
  5. The multi option nut grooves are particularly impressive . 🥳
  6. So the ad could have said: ”Lots of different things to do, let’s chat about pay” 🥳
  7. Couple of observations: •The advert starts by claiming SBL has a 1.5 million “reach” but by the end of the advert the “reach has diminished considerably to 1 million. It’s a business in decline! • It requires a bachelor, so my wife says I can’t apply • “That’s not my job isn’t in the job description”. So cleaning up “big jobs” IS on the job description. I’m out! GLWTS 😉
  8. Jess Glynne supporting that lot??????!! She writes a cracking pop song, and has a fabulous voice....you know can really sing. I guess shiny lights and choreography wins over musical talent, in the eyes of the great British public. 🤦🏻‍♂️
  9. You do like your ERBs. Although this is only a 6’er. Are you on a string diet Binky? Looks a fab bass.
  10. Why would you stop it? Attach sandpaper to your buttons, shirt and trousers and watch the value of your bass rocket. You’re welcome! 👍🏻🥳
  11. Having watched that, I Really liked those wall lights.
  12. Lovely MIJ 62 reissue P neck. My favourite profile and the rosewood is a beautiful dark quality board. Has been “generously” lacquered by a past owner and must have done the job whilst neck was attached as it suddenly stops at the heel (pics show). Never bothered me. It has a 2 stamped on the reverse, could have been 2nd? Truss rod works fine. Currently attached to a P body that I want to keep, so trade only for an unlined fretless neck, preferably P profile but might consider a J. I have very boring tastes so fender shaped headstock only please. So: Not for sale. I’m happy to keep the bass as is if the right neck isn’t available. Unlined fretless necks with Fender shaped headstock only please (I don’t get on with lined fretless). Very hard to value, but I’m going for £150 as trade value. Rosewood, maple, ebony or other wood boards are all ok with me. Thanks John
  13. Brendon bought a pair of P twins from me. Easy transaction, after great communications, to set up yet another dodgy looking car park meet up! Thanks Brendon, hope your walls are sturdy enough to add 2 more to your 3-D wallpaper! John
  14. Lovely girl. I’d stick with her rather than wasting your time and money on this overpriced piece of snow covered coffee table lah-di-dah nonsense. Leo wood be turning (wood-turning, yeah? Wood (would) Be Turn....) No offence to the op, well some, ok lots of it. Back to watching “cash in the bargain deal” I guess...
  15. Wouldn’t be Surprised if the president made him disappear.
  16. Maybe they could be posted here: https://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/26-tutors-available/ or https://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/31-theory-and-technique/ or have a separate section themselves?
  17. Doesn't look like anything I’ve never seen before. I’m sure this wasn’t the same one I didn’t own the last time it wasn’t available. In fact I don’t believe it was.
  18. If you’re playing an unlined fretless, then you are (by default) a superior musician to all others in any band situation. Therefore all other instruments are out of tune with you. This revelation has helped me enormously and haven't bothered setting up intonation or tune my fretless for years. Let the peasants fret about that. 🧐
  19. It’s not that kind of forum young man!!! Anyway, that’s a great price, fab bass and some serious groove playing. 😎
  20. https://www.thwaites.com/pro-hire/ Depends on their budget, but if I had a high quality carved D.B. I’d unlikely lend it to someone I didn’t know. If they’re a supergroup I’d assume they have a budget to hire, and include insurance and delivery. Anyway, Hope the above link might help?
