Lovely MIJ 62 reissue P neck. My favourite profile and the rosewood is a beautiful dark quality board. Has been “generously” lacquered by a past owner and must have done the job whilst neck was attached as it suddenly stops at the heel (pics show). Never bothered me. It has a 2 stamped on the reverse, could have been 2nd? Truss rod works fine. Currently attached to a P body that I want to keep, so trade only for an unlined fretless neck, preferably P profile but might consider a J. I have very boring tastes so fender shaped headstock only please. So: Not for sale. I’m happy to keep the bass as is if the right neck isn’t available. Unlined fretless necks with Fender shaped headstock only please (I don’t get on with lined fretless). Very hard to value, but I’m going for £150 as trade value. Rosewood, maple, ebony or other wood boards are all ok with me. Thanks John

Brendon bought a pair of P twins from me. Easy transaction, after great communications, to set up yet another dodgy looking car park meet up! Thanks Brendon, hope your walls are sturdy enough to add 2 more to your 3-D wallpaper! John

Lovely girl. I’d stick with her rather than wasting your time and money on this overpriced piece of snow covered coffee table lah-di-dah nonsense. Leo wood be turning (wood-turning, yeah? Wood (would) Be Turn....) No offence to the op, well some, ok lots of it. Back to watching “cash in the bargain deal” I guess...

Wouldn’t be Surprised if the president made him disappear.

Maybe they could be posted here: https://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/26-tutors-available/ or https://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/31-theory-and-technique/ or have a separate section themselves?

If you’re playing an unlined fretless, then you are (by default) a superior musician to all others in any band situation. Therefore all other instruments are out of tune with you. This revelation has helped me enormously and haven't bothered setting up intonation or tune my fretless for years. Let the peasants fret about that. 🧐

https://www.thwaites.com/pro-hire/ Depends on their budget, but if I had a high quality carved D.B. I’d unlikely lend it to someone I didn’t know. If they’re a supergroup I’d assume they have a budget to hire, and include insurance and delivery. Anyway, Hope the above link might help?

It’s not really a song contest though is it? If it were, you’d have to do away with the visual gimmicks which, if loud and glittery enough, can distract one’s attention away from judging the melody or prosody, if you understand the language being sung. It’s just a bit o’ Saturday night TV in the category of “Entertainment”. Personally I went out into the garden to stick needles up my finger nails as that was more appealing than watching the programme. But “each to their own” ‘n all that. Sounds like flag sellers did well out of it though? Good for them!

My first wage packet at 16 I bought these: Vox foundation 1x18 and amp. I bought them at the same time as buying this bass off a lad who was at my school 2 years above me. He was very good at woodwork and ended up now making very expensive guitars and mandolins for people like Matt Bellamy. His name is Gary Nava and this was his first guitar build for A level. Prior to this I played bass lines on a jedson tele I borrowed off a mate, through a hifi amp. I exchanged the lot for a leather jacket....🤪 -

This vintage F class amp comes with original anti-float weights & fits in most credit card wallets of the era. I think I have the “heft” switch somewhere.
