  1. Seamless transition I thought. No....... Pointless transition I thought.
  2. My first 6 string bass was a Mercury series, lovely bass.
  3. I think your car will be full enough don't you? However, if you post them out one at a time (leaving out the blue ones), you may have a deal.
  4. £250 Lovely jumbo electro acoustic guitar made by Peerless for Gretsch around 1999-2000. The Historic series were a limited series of guitars made by way of a nod to the original Gretsch's. Bought this for many reasons, including the solid top, wide-ish nut (44.5mm), the Fab looks, the Gretsch name, decent Fishman electrics, Peerless factory build quality & the rarity value. However, these things got in the way of the fact that I don't get on with jumbo size bodies. I've owned 2 before (20 years ago) but changed to small bodied acoustics soon after. So, sadly this has to go....its such a shame as it's the coolest looking guitars that plays & sounds great too. It has new set of 12's on and a schaller strap button fitted to the heal. The original Historic Series truss rod cover has been fitted and the Gretsch triangle sound hole cover is included. It's in a new decent quality gig bag. I'm in Bath, but quite happy to meet up or deliver within reasonable distance, or post at cost (£20). Any questions, do ask.
  5. Unhealthy? Interesting statement. In what way, Emotionally? Mentally? Spiritually? Physically? There's a huge market for tribute acts. It's fun, it's consensual, no one thinks they are the actual band, no-one watching thinks they are either. It's entertainment You don't like tribute bands, good for you.
  6. Turks did you say?
  7. Warning P bass alert!! Can't stand sound of P's solo'd, but love them in a band. I have to take little notice of my "tone" at home as I know that low mids are my friend in a band situation. But then again I'm pretty unimaginative when it comes to basses & tone. 🙂
  8. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😃😃🙂🙂🙂😐😐😐😐😐😕😕😕😕😶😶
  9. No worries. Looks like my Trace gas has been slaked by discreet of this parish, so no need for time travelling shenanigans for now. 😊
  10. Think I may have saved you from your other half's wrath. Having said that, this is going to be very hard for me to "slip past" discreetly.
  11. Doh! I'll be in Weston super mare Wednesday week. Any chance of going back in time, and rearranging whatever it was you were doing last weekend for the 23rd...oh and for round about 8pm, .....please? 😌
  12. I dep'd in "Rod's Faces" a couple of years back. Great fun. The singer does the voice & look to a tee. Looks like I'll be doing a few more with them too. I wasn't a fan of RS, but playing his back catalogue from Faces & solo material, is a blast. The audience love it too.
  13. Do you ever venture East, say over the bridge into Avon area? Thanks. John
  14. This poem was in the order of service at a memorial service for a young Bass player I knew, taken too young. I appreciate that not everyone shares the poems view on bassists "place" in a band, but the sentiment was definitely shared by the young lad.🙂 Thought I'd share it.
  15. Saw them at the Rainbow in 1979 & they came on stage playing 2 basses in the first song....blew my 18 year old head away. Can't remember the song though...sorry.
  16. Haha, I saw this earlier this evening and thought the same
  17. Yup. Last cover band I was in, I used to meet up with the 3 singers and me on an acoustic guitar so they could work out arrangements & harmonies on new songs. Sadly couldn't get the guitarists to do the same, as they needed their "tone" whenever they played. Thinking about that band, neither guitarist had an acoustic anyway.
  18. There actually larger than the stated size.😊
  19. Nanyo Bass Collection = Saab You have to have owned one to understand. Neither hold there value & cheap as chips. (I've owned both...)
