1. Still got my 5 string, not the most amazing bass in the world but the action is really impressive. Trying to work out whether to sell it or go back to it as my main bass. Shame it's so damn heavy.
2. Sold my Warwick Streamer to Mark today, very easy bloke to deal with by PM and a really nice guy in person. Plus he has what sounds like an enviable selection of Streamers and Spector basses
3.
In one. Elephant in the room time, and all that.
Yep. Undeniably great player but that was just plain bad. Almost comparable to... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MI-_jWAmlE
4.
UK reunion?? I know a few people that might have a problem with that
Bit wrong but that made me laugh.
5.
If anyone decides to order, maybe someone could sort a joint order to get a discount like Shep? Count me in for a pitch box if anyone does!
Very tempted even though I really don't need any more pedals....
6. Had a firm offer so sold pending inspection and payment. If it falls through for any reason I'll go though everyone who expressed an interest in order.
7. It's probably the same one, I got mine from a guy called Joe on here based in Sheffield back in July '10.
8. They are very nice but apparently not very popular as they're discontinued and seem to go for relatively cheap. Was yours the blue one that was on here a bit ago?
9.
Never a fan of the mustang, but I like the upgrades.
Me neither but the fixed bridge and 'buckers combined with the sunburst finish looks very good. Seriously considered trading my Jazzmaster in for one.
10. I took some this morning, so... yes. Little to no rash I'm glad to say. And a pic of the neck profile if anyone's interested.
11. Thanks, missed out on a very nice Sandberg fretless in Leeds a couple of weeks ago. Just hope this is still when/if the money comes through.
12.
In black that guitar is quite nice, but in sunburst... GAS!
You seen the Mustang special? Very nice.
13. Diago Powerstation. No problems at all.
14. Yeah, I'm having a substantial gear shuffle around and this was the hardest one to decide to let go. I just haven't played it in months which seems like a massive waste. Got my Yamaha to tide me over in case anything comes up.
15. Ah right, only 1 stacked knob on this one. Thanks, it's a very nice bass but surplus to requirements. And I want a nice fretless.
16. This is my Streamer Pro-M. Currently for sale to free up funds for a fretless.
17. Don't think so, 2 J style pickups in the housing and a bass/treble preamp. You want a gutshot?
18. Just put my Warwick up for sale, if it goes I'll be keeping an eye on this. I'm after a fretless and have never owned a P which I understand is a sackable offence.
19. That pink P looks sweet. Sadly, I'm at the start of a gear shift around so can't commit to buy anything at the moment. Good luck with the sale anyway.
20. The band I play bass in seems to have disbanded and my cheapy Yamaha has turned me native (fretless) so I have no need for my Warwick Streamer Pro-M anymore. It's a '98, everything works fine and I've kept it waxed since I got it a couple of years ago. It has a Hipshot D-tuner on the E and I have the original tuner as well if you want to change back. Website blurb here:- "The Streamer Pro M bass takes the same body and neck construction as the Streamer LX and adds a very special pickup and electronics package to it. The AA Flamed Maple body of the Streamer Pro M is shaped for ultimate playing comfort, combined with a bolt-on Ovangkol neck with a Wenge fingerboard and golden hardware. The MEC Twin-J pickup system is actually two separate J-style pickups in one single mounting. A MEC active 2-band preamp allows you to get a wide variety of tones that is difficult to generate on any other bass." Based in Sheffield, collection preferred or I can meet to deliver for a petrol contribution (if it's not too far, I hate driving). Warwick gigbag and Levys strap included. £400 or trade considered for a decent fretless. And yes, I know my carpet needs vacuuming and the door needs painting.
21.
I'd be happy to do them if you don't mind paying the postage Scoop Eude
I can't see a fellow BC'er lumbered with all that work. I'll do a few. You know, just to help out.
22.
I think one of their cabs/combos was based on Hartke, with metal speaker cones et al!
I had one of those cabs and I've ranted about them on here before. Appaling pieces of equipment that put me off Behringer for life.
23. Well I initially soldered the PBC the wrong way up on the pots and put off fixing it for a while but I finally wired up the footswitch today and it's finished! First, I tired it out on my Jazzmaster; it does not like low output pickups and chokes out if they're set too low. I initially thought it wasn't working properly but then tried it with my bass. It held long sustained notes very well and the fuzz was pretty musical sounding. The octave up effect was hard to discern at first, but this was in accordance with the videos I'd seen of the original unit. I only tried it though the crappy Kustom practice combo that's lying around the house but if anyone's interested, I'll record a few clips through the DI.
