I've found my Rat cuts through really well on guitar, better than any other pedal I've tried. I've not tried it on bass but Finbar is nabbing mine for a jam next time he's in the practice room so maybe he can enlighten you after that.

Pedal Board Recommendations
GarethFlatlands replied to theotherphiljones's topic in Accessories and Misc
Sorry... Forgot the link! There you go: Behringer PB1000
Just don't fill it with Behringer pedals! I got a decent sized Warwick case for the bargain price of £20 s/h. It's sturdy, although one of the corners was coming off when I bought it so I'm not sure what was done to cause that. It's certainly done me well through many gigs and a trip to Europe. -
The Tip-Ex in a dispenser does a pretty straight white line
I guess you could try those in Chris' earlier post or indeed TRR's - but if you can get to a guitar shop, see if you can try out one or two different types. Hmmmm.. do line 6 have a chorus/flanger pedal in one box? Or is my memory failing me?
The MM4 must do, although I'm too lazy to check. Edit:- It does indeed.
Ok. Hands up both of the people who haven't got OC-2s....
Me! I feel all left out.
I love my programmable bddi. But it only has one input.
Mine has 2. How odd. I've not tried the EBS but the Sansamp is very flexible with a lot of useful features, optional programmable FX loop, paralell output, 2 inputs etc. It only really does one sound (Ampeg-ish) but if you like that, you're set!

www.bitsbox.co.uk http://uk.farnell.com/ You should get most of what you need from these 2. E-ay for the more obscure stuff. http://vibe-o-tronic.co.uk/ usually has some good stuff selected for guitar pedals too but it's pricy.

That's the one, simple as it gets really. A more in-depth look at the pedal is here, including a few variations and diode ideas.

Works fine, the bass setting sounds pretty good. Mine is now going to get bass modded!

Loads of veroboard layouts here:-- http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php...NFLY-LAYOUTS_0/ Including a very simple bass fuzz on page 3 of fuzz > vero layouts. That should be good to start you off.
I've modded my crybaby like that. I'll upload some sound samples later, if I get chance.
Do it! I've bought one for modding but I'm wondering whether to make it a bass monster instead.

Very good. Shame about the cat that wandered into the recording room at the 29 second mark but at least he's in time

http://www.wah-wah.co.uk/ Mods under 'DIY Resources', sweep range seems to be the bass specific one.
Though I do attribute my ability to pick up a cheap X3 Live on ebay to the announcement of these new pedals to Line 6 - Thanks!!!
You tried out the M9/13? I was wondering how they compared.

Sansamp Bddi - 2 (if the deluxe counts) Boxx chorus ensemble - 1 Way huge swollen pickle - 1 Digitech Whammy - 1 Guyatone MD-3 delay - 1 Boss TU2 - 1 I've only done pedals from my bass board, the guitar board has lots more. Surely the Boss DD-3 or TU-2 are sure-fire winners!
I had the misfortune of rehearsing through a Behringer a couple of weeks back. I was shocked at just how bad it was, and no amount of EQing made the slightest difference. Truly bad C
I used their bass cabs a few years ago, the ones with aluminium cones. The cones came away from the surrounds after very modest use and continued to disintegrate very quickly until one went bang and took my Warwick head with it. Wouldn't ever touch their stuff again.

The Carl Thompson $10 million bass on Ebay
GarethFlatlands replied to Mr. Foxen's topic in Bass Guitars
I was wondering about that.......I get the impression the seller knows nothing about what he's trying to sell!
I thought you could still get buzz on a fretless, I presumed this was what he meant. -
Visual Sound Double Trouble or Jekyll and Hyde?
-
Right, I'm definitley selling this, the jack has been given a good blast of contact cleaner and I'll test it tonight to make sure the crackle has gone. A few signs of wear and tear, the worst of which you can see in the last picture. It will also be given a good clean before handing it over. Pics:- It's a very clean sounding bass, not a lot of growl but very refined, it had a compliment on the nice sound when we recorded so bonus. £200 OBO, I can deliver, you can collect or I can meet you halfway for a few quid towards petrol (not if you collect obviously). Please check first, I'm fairly central UK but I hate driving.

Now with pictures! The Mad Dog is in really good nick, only a couple of very slight scratches. The Marshall is a little dusty and has a couple of marks on and the Digitech has some paintwork scratches which you can see in the picture. Again, open to trades or offers.
Oh the Corsa challenge seems to good not to try!! I'll try it in the Yaris.
I've seen one go into a Corsa, required the front passenger seat to be tilted forwards so the cab could rest on top of it. Amazing sounding cabs but taller and heavier than I am so it's a no for me!
