1. Hi, Does anyone have any experience with these 2. Guitar modelling would be a good bonus too.
2.
very tempted with this. if you can hang on untill xmas is out of the way .......
Actually, this may be very lucky as I'm moving up to the Wirral at Christmas, you're based in Liverpool?
3. before i put it in the fireplace to heat my room, is anyone interested?
4.
I fall into the 16mm is too narrow camp. I did try, but realise I need a broadneck version. as above GLTRS - a cracking bass for the money - I am really pleased with my 4 string fretless corvette.
i find the spacing very comfortable.
5.
What is string spacing at bridge? 16mm (ish) or 19mm (ish)?
Its 16ish, so I dont know if thats a good one for you?
6. i think its the standard spacing for a 5 string, the same as my FNA by the look and feel. Dont have a ruler at the moment so cant verify it right now
7. maybe, not sure on the postage though
8. Hi, Not sure about the spacing, its fully adjustable though. will check
9. Selling my Warwick Corvette Standard 5 String passive Bass. Made in Germany, In mint condition. Absolutely no marks or dings. Wenge neck, Bubinga body Includes Gig Bag, Strap locks and Strap. Priced to sell, give her a good home for me someone. I'm in Camden, London. Since I'm travelling for a while I have to let the old girl go. New pics added .... postage is available, i have a box for it + gig bag
10. looks good, but was looking for a bubinga one
11. thanks for the feedback. i dont hear it so much, just the soundman, and i also like to use a bass exciter which ends up making any noise worse. i have used other corvettes before, and this seems to be the worse from memory. If i decided to get another preamp like an aguilar, would that make any real difference or just a waste of cash?
12. i had a jazz 5 deluxe before and found that a bit chunky for my liking. im guessing this is the same?
13. how is the neck size? im used to smaller warwick sized necks
14. thanks, its not the hiss from a treble boost which would be constant, its the kind of static interference that im hearing. the treble i can deal with, but the interference needs a shielding repair?
15. Hi, I've got a warwick fna jazzman that has a noise problem. I've made a recording using a bass pod with all effects, eq and amp simulation off. the bass is on the front single coil pickup, bass and treble are on full to hear the noise properly. I've made a soundcloud file - https://soundcloud.com/internaljon/bass Can anyone advise if this is within a normal range, or if it needs repairing. I did need to solder a wire back on when i got it off ebay, but cant see if theres any bad solder connections. cheers, Jon
16.
The bass is currently on hold pending a trade however I shall let you know it falls through
Ok thanks, I'd be interested in buying.
17.
Such an awesome bass for the price. A German piece of Warwick win for £370 is a bargain. The fill is purely cosmetic. The neck is really straight and it has a brand new Warwick dual action truss rod which the luthier fitted when repairing and planing.
Did you take a look at the bass yourself or were you a previous owner? I'm tempted.
18. is this the vb-99 ? thanks, jon
19. PM'd
Hey guys, I have a 5 string Musicman Bongo HH that Ive had for about 5 years - gift for my 18th birthday. It has a heck of a lot of sentimental value! So letting this go isn't easy. But looking at the circumstances I'm in, I know that fairly soon I need a different kind of bass altogether to support what Im doing in the band I'm in. Im looking at a Duck Dunn P Bass or Fender USA Precision P Bass plus cash. I'm not sure if I'm violating the T + C on this post so apologies in a advance. I've only got pictures of the bass from gigs, so these will have to do for now. Please dont hesitate to get in touch. Many Thanks, Josh (This is the only photo I can find atm)
20.
I was going to say I used my Fender P bass at church yesterday and it sounded fine, then checked your myspace (nice drumming too) and you play a different style of music so maybe isnt the best fit, also depends on amp and playing style. A 'Fender Precision' could be worth anything from £50 to £50,000 depending on what it is, it maybe was a bit daft just to pluck a price out the air for a bass that doesn't belong to you. If it doesn't get used maybe it would be in your churches interest to sell it, if you stuck photos and info on the 'bass guitars' forum then folk on here should be able to give you a rough valuation, then the guys at your church can decide if its worth selling. But don't fret, if you dont sell the ibanez in time and miss this ken smith then another one will turn up. We've all been in the situation where the seeming dream bass comes up and you really want it, but if you don't have the money, you don't have the money. Wait and save. Also if you want a wee bass challenge.... go listen to everything you can find by james jamerson.... incorporate his style in your playing at church.....
Ken Smith is a great bass for church! I play warwick, but would go for a Ken Smith if I could afford one. Depends on whether you play Kirk Franklin or Hillsong more. jon
21. thats a shame, i'd be very interested. Jon
