Think it should swap ok. [/quote] Standard Fender 13 hole scratchplates from the US off eBay: even with postage they were cheaper than buying the equivalent in the UK! I thought about swapping the bridges too, to Hipshot Vintage, but in the end decided not to.

That's a great looking bass! Good score I am a huge fan of these basses. Mine are the 2012 honeyburst models with two piece alder bodies, 8.5lbs each. As you say, the necks are fantastic. I had one converted to fretless by Book Guitars in Devon. I've swapped the scratchplates and added thumb rests, and both basses have upgraded Hipshot tuners.

I love the idea of a gig bag to carry two basses and picked this up at Christmas. However, as I never take both fretted and fretless basses to a gig (I take one or the other, plus my upright, depending on the band), I am only using it for home storage! So, I'm going back to single bags... Anyway, it's a terrific bag: sturdy yet light, good neck support and loads of storage. These are £159 posted new in the UK and I am looking at 20% off new, which is a [b]firm £125 posted[/b] using UPS next day service. Thanks for the comments guys. One other thing I meant to say is that the price Brook quoted was the most competitive I received, so if anyone is considering a fingerboard conversion I really can't recommend them highly enough.
