1.
Parenting done right!
2. Always loved the look of this cab. Never heard one though. Really rare too, even more so in that colour I'd imagine.
  3. My son started at 7 on an Alesis electronic kit. He's now 11, studying for Grade 6, and has just asked if he can have a second bass drum added to his acoustic kit "you know Dad, like Cozy Powell"!
  4. "Since you been gone" by Rainbow, at a Secondary School end of year concert in 1980. I can remember my band's lineup too!
  5. Surely he should have set the bass up how you like it, not how he thinks it should be. I'd take it back and get him to sort it for you.

Sold a strap to Colin. Deal was as smooth as a smooth thing and I would happily deal with him again.
  7.
If you want a PDF that will print out to scale, then look in the attachments on the first post in this thread which has drawings for 57 and 62 variants http://www.tdpri.com...ledge-bass.html
Brilliant! Thanks so much.
  8.
IIRC, Guy Lewis supplied a template covering both bass and treble side fitment with his custom thumb rests / tug bars. Unfortunately it looks like I've thrown all the ones I had away, but maybe he might be able to help you out (though of course you'd probably have to buy summat off him!). http://www.classicgu...thumb_rests.php
That's a good shout, thanks!
  9.
Is this any good to you? http://www.buzzardsb...st-template.jpg
That's the right kind of thing, thanks, but I want it for the treble (i.e. g string) side lcoation.
  10. Does anyone have a template I can have, so I can fit a treble side thumb rest to my 2012 American Special Precision Bass?
  11. Wow, that's an amazing deal for some terrific gear. You have to wonder what the courier did to damage the cab though as PJB stuff is bomb-proof!
  12. HALF-WOUND LONG SCALE STAINLESS STEEL 45-105 Status say: Half-wound strings start off as regular round-wound then have the outer edges of the round wrap ground down slightly. This produces a string with a smooth feel and a tone somewhere between a round-wound and flat-wound string. Ideal for a warmer tone and fretless basses to preserve the fingerboard finish. Brand new in the bag. £17 plus P&P from Status, I'd like £15 posted.

  14. And now just put a lighter gauge set on my fretted P bass. Really nice, low tension, and great tone.
  15.
One cab now on hold, but one still ready to go.
If only I had some spare cash
  16.
Hi walbassist - you ever been a Mesa Boogie fan? if so, how does the Demeter stack up against the M6 Carbine? They seem to be in a similar price (but obviously not the same weight!) bracket?
No idea I'm afraid, but Molan may have an idea as he also has the Demeter amp and may have tried a Mesa?
  17.
I think his is a pre and power....
It is, and I am http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6r6Gu56bWvI
