1. Another Mono product perhaps?
2. I sold a speaker cable to Mart. Deal was as smooth as you like and I would happily deal with him again
3. I bought Mike's Bassbone (my third, I should learn to just hold on to one ) and he was terrific throughout. I would happily deal with him again.
4.
If that's too high-gain (i.e. breaks up easily into distortion) for your tastes, try the next step down which is the AT7. That's a roughly 40% drop in gain level leading to a much later break-up.
This is good advice, and there's great info here which will give you more info on this subject. I swapped out my 12AX7/ECC83 preamp valves for 12AT7/ECC81s when I owned an LB30 and it cleaned it up wonderfully. I could also hear differences between makes, but only when listening back to a/b recordings I made: live they made little if any difference in a band context.
5. I sold a speaker cable to Ted. A small deal, but completed without any fuss, and I would happily deal with him again
6. I vote for a refin in Burgundy Mist
7. Very pricey for a later version Pro series, but a very nice example. I'm pretty sure there are other birds eye facing versions out there though....
8. I sold Pablo a small amp bag. A simple transaction, but completed with great communication and the minimum of fuss.
9. I'm in Orlando this summer. Aiming to take the trip to BC at some point.
10. Much, much better to keep the bass at home. Your home is probably the most stable environment, in terms of temp an humidity.
11. Hello all I only bought this recently, but have decided to stick with a back pack for leads n' stuff. It's surprisingly roomy and, like all MONO stuff, really well put together. I particularly like the removable zipped pocket inside, and the tool/pen flap. Mine is the steel grey version, as above. Only compatible with M80 and Vertigo bags that have the three D rings on the front. Condition is minty fresh. New, these are £69. I'd like £59 posted, no offers thanks. Cheers Gareth
12. I have two speakon - jack speaker cables for sale, both made by our very own OBBM. They have been used just a handful of times. In fact, I don't think the longer cable has ever been used! #1 is 90cm long (cable length, not including jacks) and has a 1/4" jack on one end and a NL2FX Speakon on the other. #2 is 40cm and has a 1/4" jack on one end and a NL2FC Speakon on the other. Cable for both is high-capacity 4mm Klotz cable. I'd like £12.50 for cable #1 and £10 for cable #2. Postage extra.
13.
Looking forward to one of your now famous videos Gareth!
One shall follow in due course, no doubt
14. Sold a strap to Pinball. Communication was top notch and payment very quick. Happy to deal with him again.
15.
the company is called Spitfire Vintage Tortoiseshell Pickguards http://spitfiretorto...ress.com/order/
They look great!
16.
So, what's your initial thoughts on the Demeter?
Haven't had a chance to give it a good run yet, but aim to do so this weekend. My first impression is that it's like the Demeter pre I had a few years back: terrific weight and presence to each note, but always clean and articulate.
