1. This is a feeler at the moment, but I have an all-valve itch I need to scratch. This cab was bought new in the summer, complete with Berg padded cover. Rehearsed with three times and never gigged. £1030 new, I am asking £875 collected. No offers, no trades. Thanks Gareth
2. I had a DPC1400X and it was superb. Headroom for days. They are heavy though, and very deep so you'd need a large rack case. Plus they are discontinued for some time now so maybe hard to repair if they go wrong? But, as I said, bags of clean power
3. I sold my Sandberg to Dave. Perfect transaction with very fast payment and great communication. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again
4.
How heavy are these cabs compare to the VS112? I'm thinking either VS212 or 2x VS112 if i can still get hold of them.
According to the specs I can find on the web, the Mi12 is 16kg whereas the VS112 is 17kg.
5. Hi guys Not gigged yet, but it has a lot of volume for something so small. It'll certainly work for some of my gigs though. A video shall follow Cheers Gareth
6. I have just acquired a fantastic Ashdown CTM15 all-valve 15 watt head, along with an 8 ohm Mi12 cab. Perfect to give me that wonderful valve tone for rehearsals and low-key gigs, and it's surprsingly loud for such a small fella. Keep it clean with the gain below 9 o'clock, or dial in as much grind as you like the further clockwise you go
7. Has anyone gone for the Focus cabs in this sell off? If so, where are they made, and thoughts on build quality?
8.
I've liked the Ashdown valve stuff I've tried, Peacemaker and Little Bastard. Two 6550/KT88 is definitely a cool power section. Gutshots if you get it please.
Just found this Oli, just for you
9. My favourite strap of all time is the Richter Supreme II.
10. Thanks guys, but in the end I went down a different, and much ligher, all-valve route!
11. Why is this still here? It's a great deal on some truly superb kit!
12. My ex-cab. This combination can throw out some seriously good valve tones at a decent volume. It's a perfectly giggable setup, and that is an amazing price for the whole rig.
13.
Amp looks the nutts, pricetag just looks nutts...
Lol, that's a great line! Yes, the price is nuts, but I have spotted a second hand one that makes it more reasonable!
14. This is a great live rock album, with fretless by Jaz Lochrie on every track. I think it rocks rather hard Edit: Awful album cover though!
15.
The head on the combo is pretty much the same as the LB30 right?
Yes, my question, I guess, is what's the cab like. I know what the head can do
16. Hi there I still have an all-valve itch I need to scratch, and was wondering if anyone has any experience of this combo? I had an LB30 head, which was great and more than loud enough for my gigging needs, but I have no experience of the combo. I'm not a huge fan of 15" drivers or rear ported cabs, but never say never.... Cheers Gareth
17. Yes, early 90s. I had the combo version with the GPXV preamp. Very nice.
18. Yes, just spotted this too. Looks lovely and, as you say, probably weighs something silly. I must admit, I am having some serious nostalgia GAS for TE stuff at the mo....
19.
For anyone dithering, this is a very nice-playing and nice-sounding bass.
Thanks BBN! Friday night bump for a price drop.
