1. Setups don't take long, but sometimes the neck may need to settle if a truss rod adjustment has been necessary. I would say a week is excessive though, more like 24 hours.
 2. I've played about half a dozen of them. They've all been great basses.
 3. I am sure it'll be an easy fix for Sandberg, probably just some clever use of capacitors or somesuch.... Surprised that you haven't had a reply, try "][email protected]. I have always used him and had fast repsonses.
 4. Why not email the guys at Sandberg and just sort a replacement? I am sure they'd want to help out, and as the Umbo's passive I am sure it's a simple solution to get it back to fully functioning.
 5.
The first time we did the BassBash at that school, I brought along four varieties of in-ear or headphone rigs for people to compare and set them all up in the Quiet Room. That also allowed people to bring basses to those rigs and hear what the basses actually sounded like. Think I might re-visit that idea next year ...
Excellent idea, but the real question is - did the shirt fit?!
 6. I've had both. GB was very nice but almost too much at some gigs. Sweepable mids on the Tonehammer would swing it for me, plus the ability to play around with gain and EQ via the "drive" setting.
 7.
For me, yesterday's lesson was that less is more. Next year, I will bring no basses and no amps/cabinets.
Me too. I might sit in a quiet corner and do set ups all day.
 8.
I do think there should be some photos
I am sure Bluejay will be along with a load in due course...
 9. A top day. Thanks to those who organised it so well. I am glad I took my earplugs though.....
 10.
I haven't tried that! May be worth giving it a shot! My only concern doing that is switching between basses, as I surely would need to turn the volume off on the amp on the channel to do it.... Or would it work like it does now with the switcher pedal in that I can just do the foot activated volume off and on on the GT10b? Sorry, I always get lost of the amplification side of things!!
tonyf's suggestion of muting via the GT should work. Failing that just turn the volume knob on the bass down as you take it off
 11.
My bass could do with a little tweak too, I have all the correct Allen Keys so if anyone can take a look at mine I would be greatful, especially with a gig tomorrow.
Happy to have a look at this too.
 12. Sounds like input levels getting mixed up to me. Have you tried each bass in a separate channel and then running the pedal board in the fx loop? Oh, and remember the limiter is at 0 when it's fully clockwise (i.e. 5 o'clock).
 13.
neck's a bit straight I think...
If you bring the relevant allen key I'll bring my stew mac action gauge and we can have a look.
 14.
And also, if there's anyone coming tomorrow who's a bit handy in the set-up department, as my Blade B15 needs a tweak??
What's the problem Nik?
 15. I have some vintage valves available for sale, if anyone's interested. Also definitely bringing philw's Veillette Flyer, as well as my own Archtop.
 16. I'd like to see a CTM45 (6 x EL84s) with adjustable gain
 17. Yes, excellent cases and very well priced. I agree that they don't need to be so deep though....
 18. Yep, for it to be a '66 it has to be dots, binding and lollypops! Cheers Gareth (also from '66, but without the above spec.... )
 19.
I've edited your entry above
Thanks! Looking forward to it.
 20. I'm bringing my Aguilar Tonehammer 500 and Bergantino CN212 as well as the basses... unless I change the cab for a Berg NV115 this week
 21.
Is anyone bringing a Barefaced Midget that I can try?
Smaller option needed than the CN then Dave?
Mmmm again, interested to see each one of those (hope I'm not repeating myself).
No worries, still bringing them, and hopefully a Veillette Flyer too (32" scale, fretless tuned E-C) which should be available for purchase!
 22. I can vouch for Pete. He's a great guy.
 23.
But why the little meter thing, is it functional?
It shows the output. And I quote from the Ashdown site: "The CTM-15's analog VU meter isn't a vintage-style triviality, it gives you an accurate display of your power amp's output. Tube amps always have their own sweet spot where they sound their best, and the CTM-15's VU meter helps you find it every time."
 24.
In a Schroedery kind of way?
I had a Schroeder 1210 and now own a Berg CN212. I would say the Schroeder had far more of a pushed mid presence that the Berg does.
