1. I sold an MXR compressor pedal to Gerald. Communication was excellent throughout, payment was fast, and I would happily deal with him again
2. Thinking I may need to bring my amp and cab, even though it's the same set up as OBBM?
3. The problem was an open air stage. Bass just disappears in such situations. If you like the setup and it works for the vast majority of gigs I wouldn't change a thing.
4. I don't have an Eminence, but I do have a BSX Allegro, so a similar kind of EUB. I put a set of Silver Slaps on it when I bought it in November 2010. The same strings are still on it now, and I have had no problems whatsoever keeping it in tune. In fact, the strings are so stable I hardly ever have to tune it! Cheers Gareth
5.
Bergantino CN212 is a great cab. I know a couple of people using them with Aggie TH500's and they sound great.
My exact setup. Without doubt the best rig I have ever had..... and I have had a lot !
6.
Helloooooooooooo
Car Park Money Shot?
7. What you describe doesn't sound like a failing valve to me.... could it be your ears playing tricks on you as they get "tired" during the gig? The easiest thing to do is swap the valve out for another of the same spec and see what happens, and you can always try other brands as well without risking anything. Whenever I have owned an amp with valves in I have always enjoyed seeing how different brands affect the tone.
8. I'm in. Veillette Archtop fretless 5, Sandberg VT5 and BSX Allegro 5 if anyone's interested?
9. I sold an EQ pedal to Gilles. Immediate payment with a screen shot of the transaction from his bank, and great communication all the way. Thanks Gilles!
10. Just shot a quick clip that hopefully gives you an idea of the tone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3YUkuERh-I
11.
Really? I have one of those and I would never put an unsymmetrical bodied instrument on it and I certainly wouldn't risk using it at gig unless all the band were sitting down to play.
Yes, great for P basses, but anything that isn't symetrical is going to struggle on one of these. I use two at gigs and have never had a problem though.
12.
Instead have a look at the Aguilar Tonehammer 500. It won't break the bank or your back and will give you an Aguilar tone in a manageable package.
Agreed. I recently picked up one of these and have been blown away by how good it is.
13. A mate of mine has one of the very first Squier P basses brought into the UK, complete with Fender spaghetti logo and the smaller Squier series logo in black on the end of the headstock. It's an amazing bass in every way, beautifully put together and tone to die for. If this is half as good as that bass, then it's a good 'un!
14.
Groan...GAS...GAS to change my enormous GK rig to something both lighter and smaller...must resist... What is that small box next to the head?
Yes, the head and cab weigh 50 lbs combined. The cab is a pretty easy one arm lift! The little box is a Korg tuner.
15. Here's my new rig. I am seriously impressed by both the head and the cab
16. I am no vintage Fender expert, but I am pretty certain you have answered your own question above!
17. I sold Neil my Markbass head. He's a pleasure to deal: great communication and a very approachable manner. I would happily deal with him again.
18. I am breaking up my pedal board so all these bits are no longer needed. All George Ls, all .155" dimension .155" patch cable, 1.2m (plus 9 trimmed sections between 10-20cm each) 9 right angle jack plugs 4 straight jack plugs 3 black jackets for straight jack plugs 6 black and 2 red jackets for angled jack plugs This would cost £70 plus postage bought new. I'm looking for £55 the lot posted. Thanks Gareth
