The original pots were long gone when I bought it so I added the P Retro pictured. I've since managed to source an original set of pots and taken it back to passive.

Why would you want to do this, effectively making your bass a giant mandolin?! I can understand the lower tuning, but why in 5ths? The patterns you're used to will all go out the window.

[/quote] Without wishing to hijack Nick's thread, it's actually a 1970, which is the first year they made fretless basses. Clarky is correct that the bass had a P Retro fitted when I took this photo, but I have since sourced a set of orginal pots, so it's now back to stock. Cheers Gareth
