    Is it constant, or just after gigs? If the former, then it's probably permanent, but if it's the latter then take it as a warning sign and start using earplugs. In fact, use them anway if you want to keep playing. I would highly recommend getting some proper in-ear moulded earplugs like Elacin ER15s. It's very hard to recommend treatments etc. as every case is so different. Some people use masking devices to help them sleep, apparently zinc implants can do a job for some etc., but in the 15-odd years I've had tinnitus the best advice I was given was by an audiologist who said "Just get on with your life and try not to worry about it".

    This may seem like a bizarre question, but how tall are the feet on the Reidmar (i.e. what's the clearance under the amp?)

It's the same dual tube preamp in the 220, 330 and 550 heads and is very nice. The difference comes in the quality of the power section for each (220 = Electric Blue, 330 = MAG, 550 = ABM). I had a Spyder 550 and it sounded amazing, but my concern at the lower end of the range would be reliability, or lack thereof.....

    Two Vs-112s is a great little setup, I am a big fan of paired 1x12s as they are so versatile. The only concern I have with the VS/LB112 is that the power handling is pretty low, so I wouldn't want to put a Spyder/ABM/MiBass 550 through a pair.

    I'd imagine there's little difference between the LB112 and the VS112. I'd say go for it!

    I can't believe I'm doing this, but I have seen a bass I have wanted for many years at a very good price, and as my 1970 fretless Precision is getting all my playing time at the moment this is the obvious bass to sell to fund the new bass. This bass was made for me and delivered December 2009, the spec is:[list] [*]Semi-hollow poplar "Archtop" body with a spruce top and black binding finished in light amber [*]Maple 34" neck with unlined ebony fingerboard [*]Ebony saddle (19mm string spacing) and bridge [*]Citron Humbucker and D-Tar piezo pickup with D-Tar Eclipse preamp (volume, bass, treble, blend, with variable gain between mag and piezo) [*]La Bella black nylon strings (spare set included) [*]Gotoh Res-o-lite tuners [*]Dunlop Straplocks [/list] The bass plays beautifully, the action is very low, and the neck profile is flat and fast. It balances perfectly and weighs 8.5 lbs. The combination of piezo and magnetic works really well, and the range of tones is huge. Condition is perfect save for a slight pin sized dent in the side and a small finish repair (about 5mm long) where the gloss finish on the under side of the neck came away and needed touching up. Here's a video review I shot a while back. Audio isn't great but what the hell....     I can't speak for 3 and 4, but I suspect the Spyder is more your tone than an ABM, even with the tube way up on the latter.

    Hi there, and welcome It'll work, certainly, as according to the EBS site the head can run an 8 ohm load, but whether they sound good together is another matter. In my experience, some combinations of different brands sound great, whereas others can be much less successful. If it were me though, I'd want to check whether the Reidmar puts out the full 250 watts at both 4 [u]and[/u] 8 ohms: if it puts out less into an 8 ohm load it may not be enough for a gigging situation. cheers Gareth

    Thanks for all the replies folks. Well, I love the tone from my LB30, so perhaps the Drophead 200 would be a better match for me than the BTA anyway....

    The other head I like that really is all-valve is the Drophead 200, a positively anorexic 44lbs, but I would be reluctant to gig it!
