1. I had one, bought new, for a short while a couple of years ago. This was prior to the new version with the added magnetic pickup. Nice warm sound from the piezo, not too clicky like some and very woody. Good EQ as well, and the synth access was fun. Bit of a one trick pony, albeit one it did very well, so the new version with magnetic pickup should be more versatile.
2. Hint of Ken Smith BMT there methinks...
3. And what do you think of it? I loved the Doubler I had.
4.
Oooooops - I hope Chez Clarky doesn't smell of burnt circuit board now.
5. No! They have a voltage jumper inside you need to check first. It was probably changed before export, but best to check.... See page 10 of the manual here for more info.

If only someone would buy my Veillette...
7. PJB is renowned for good customer service, so I'm surprised you've had no joy yet. Alan at Synergy is also a top bloke to deal with.
8. I'm biased, but a Veillette Minotaur would be awesome.
9.
I have a feeling I'm going to be looking for an Ashdown.
Andertons have the LB and the Drophead combo in stock, apparently.
10. Wouldn't it be great to have on the market a small all-valve head that was 100-150 watts. I guess another possibility is a really nice valve pre with a power amp? Trace Elliot Twin Valve is a good call, but they are pretty heavy IIRC? Cheers Gareth
11.
From memory..its a thin coat of an acrylic of some sort. Best find out what it is/was back in '83 as a starter. My guess would be a slight sand and re-application of something compatible - nothing wax based is going to help further restoration.
+1 to this
12. Hi Dave Hope all is well. That's a very nice piece of wood! Cheers Gareth
13. Withdrawn until later in the summer, when the new D600 combo hits the UK.
14. TRADED
15. Very light and silly loud these.
16. One 6B is now sold.
17. Quick weekend bump. Remember I am happy to split or consider trades.
18.
Nostalgia or what.
The 12" mix of "Love Like Blood" was on constant rotation in my dorm room the first year of uni. Happy days!
19.
I'm sure that one used to be at the factory in High Wycombe....Serial number W1111 I think.
+1
20.
Is there any advantage in having a bridge like this?
I would assume it gives some support to the top of instruments that have hollow or semi-hollow bodies.
21. My rather beautiful Veillette Archtop perhaps? PS I wouldn't say that the Godin in the post above doesn't really have a tailpiece per se, more a classical guitar style vibe.
22. In order of preference: Basschat Private eBay eBay is a distant third too....
23. bump for the new lower price, also happy to split
24. OK, I am going to withdraw this bass for a while. Thanks to those who posted or expressed an interest.
