My PJB rig sounds very different to any other rig I've owned, but I really like it.

You could have a lot of fun with these two. Dead easy to learn.

I had a Wal doubleneck (fretted and fretless 4s) that was a great bass, but it was VERY heavy. Obviously a 4/6 combination should be a bit lighter and balance better, but finding one will be tough! Gibson, Rickenbacker and Shergold used to make 4/6s and 4/12s many moons ago, but they've always been rare and demand top dollar as vintage instruments. You [i]may[/i] find cheapish instruments on eBay, which may be fine for a first dabble to make sure it's the way you want to go. Then of course there's the silly money you could spend on the custom route... Good luck! Gareth

I wonder how much feedback influences the eBay teams when a dispute opens up? I have over 500 positive feedbacks and am rated 4.9 out of 5 for the accuracy of my item descriptions, so I hope they'd cut me some slack! Regarding the OP, I always put a few words to describe the case when selling an instrument on eBay. Usually phrasing the sentence "This bass also comes with..." to suggest that the bass is the main auction item and the case secondary. For example, the Ken Smith Burner I finally sold on here recently had a case that I described both here on BC and eBay as "worn but fully functional". I hope you get it sorted. Cheers Gareth

No longer made, but our Nissan Terrano has done a terrific job for us for a while now. I can fit two PA subs and all the gear in my sig in it no problem, plus it has had no trouble getting up and down the snowbound single track hill we live on!

I have Innovation Silver Slaps on my bass. They are nice, low tension and bow pretty well too. Not that expensive either.

As a relative newbie to upright, I put some temporary dots on the side of my BSX when I first got it. However, I removed them pretty quick as, quite frankly, they were offputting and I spent more time looking at them than listening to what I was playing.

Just picked up Toasted's Zoom H2 (thanks Joe) and I am amazed at how good it sounds. After downloading Reaper, I hooked it up to my PC and, after a couple of minutes setting levels and working out the basics of Reaper, recorded three tracks (one mandolin rythym track, one lead mandolin track, double bass) and finished my first tune! I think this will be really a really useful bit of kit, both for recording gigs and rehearsals, as well as more studio based stuff. Well chuffed! Gareth PS I would upload the tune, but unfortunately I deleted it by mistake!!!

Just bought a Zoom H2 from Joe. He posted it on the afternoon we agreed the deal, even though I couldn't get to the bank to pay him until that evening. Item was 100% as described. Definitely one of the good guys.
