1. Good score; the Doubler is a great head. Surely it's worth spending a bit to get something decent to keep a £500 amp in? How about one of these? Cheers Gareth
2. Of the two, I'd go with the Epi 410.
3. A few internal shots of the Demeter. The whole thing: The front panel: The rear panel: The Tung Sol tube. Note the gain trim pot (set at 50%).
4. That is a booty shaking cab at a great price. EBC is also a total gent to deal with.
5. Mick bought an EA cab from me. He was a pleasure to deal with, paying promptly and keeping up great communication.
6. Thanks, and I'm sure you're not missing anything! It was just the unity gain setting that was confusing me.
7. Cross posted this is the technical forum as well, but lised it here as I only got one reply there (thanks Geoff!) -------- So, I'm loving my new PJB M-300 amp, but getting the most out of it, literally, is leaving me slightly perplexed. As you can see, the "Input Level" has -10dB and +10dB marked on it, which means that with the knob set to high noon it's at unity gain. My question is this, is it more important to have this knob at unity gain, and therefore adjust the gain inside my active basses accordingly, or should I make the gain going into the amp from the bass as big as possible and trim the input level on the amp? Cheers Gareth
