1.
I can measure the diameter of mine if SMART don't have one on hand to measure.
Ian's waiting on stock, so that'd be very handy if you would.
 2.
Update: I've emailed SMART to ask the diameter of the pin and how much they'd cost in the UK.
Ian's come back to me; £85 plus delivery (tbc)
 3.
Get yourself a Steadyfoot endpin as used on the Eminence basses. Eminence steadyfoot Totally spin free but you can still move & groove. I honestly don't know why every EUB manufacturer doesn't have these on their basses.
Now that is a great idea! Probably best to check with the UK distributor (SMART?) on the UK price before ordering from the US though. I'd be up for one of these too! Update: I've emailed SMART to ask the diameter of the pin and how much they'd cost in the UK.
 4. Yummy Duncan is a great guy to deal with, and I bet these are the biz. Buy with confidence!!!
 5.
Lovely, that's exactly what I'm after, albeit on a slightly larger scale (the whole skeleton)
I'd be happier with just the shoulders
 6.
OK, I've just had a chat with Alan regarding this and it looks like a skeleton for the Aria might be a possibility. I'll keep you posted folks
I'd be interested to hear how this goes Chris. I assume it'll be detachable? Cheers Gareth
 7. I have two of these in black. Both still pretty new and in very good condition (just a little marking from the strap locks). UK prices seem to be around £14 new, so how about £9 each posted or both for £16? Cash, cheque or bank transfer only. No Paypal. Cheers Gareth
 8. Nice bass with a very interesting finish. I'd assume the control plate is off a different bass at some point as it looks like birsdeye maple facings to me; it's definitely not wenge. As already stated, Paul will be able to confirm. If the neck plate serial number is original it's from 1988.
 9.

Wow that's old skool
 10.
I've come across the ea iamp micro 550 which people on talkbass say is under powered but it's very very light n compact so tempting but I'm concerned about it being 50% for upright which just ain't in my funk rock world!
There's no reason you have to use an upright with the Micro. The Doubler version has some extra upright friendly features for sure, but they both work perfectly well with electric basses. I had a Micro and it was lovely. Really crisp and clean sound, and as long as you get the gain set up right it can go quite loud. It's not a "ballsy" amp though, it only really does clean. I sold it because I went for a tube preamp, but now I'm full circle as I've gone clean again with a PJB rig. My advice would be to try a Micro if at all possible, just to be sure it has the sound and volume you want. Cheers Gareth
 11. Looks like a medium scale E string was packed with a long scale set to me. I've never had that problem with the La Bella sets I've used in the past or now.
 12. Hi there The Jag has a much more versatile eq setup, so you really should be able to get a far wider variety of sounds out of it than the SUB. I'd stick with it and try all the different combinations you possibly can. For example, I'd imagine running the pickups in series, with a bit of extra bass and treble boost from the active circuit and panned slightly to the bridge pickup, should give you a really good sound. Best of luck Gareth
 13. I just bought one of these off eBay. It's nice, soft yet sturdy, and literally brand new. However, I've decided to get two straps from Harvest instead so am selling this for the cost of the strap but will cover postage, so £7.99 posted 2nd class.
 14. Wow that's lovely. I really want it, sadly I only have the two items in my signature available (i.e. no cash). Cheers Gareth
