Looks good where did you get active cab from and what is cost if you dont mind me asking ( I have a bass buddy looks like an ideal solution)
I googled those pics (there's also one of them using it with the Buddy), and although the cab is listed on the PJB site it won't be available until mid-August.
 2. I may consider splitting up if there's any real interest in anything here.
 3. They now make a powered extension for this, the PB300!

250W output
6 x front firing speakers
1 x line in jack socket
1 x link out jack socket for daisy chaining more active cabs!
volume control
24.2 H x 12.6 W x 16.1 D inches
37.4 lbs
4.
I'm sure I read somewhere on here that the reason Aria added the neck PUP was to get a more 'real' upright tone. Was I dreaming? BTW, I'm putting the new strings on my upright tonight Gareth (apologies for not replying sooner, it's been along week), I'll keep you posted
Well, I think the bass sounds way better just using the piezo, but hey, what do I know? Glad the strings got to you safe and sound.
 5. I don't even use the mag on my Aria any more Chris, it buzzed and also had a much lower output that the piezo, so wasn't much help anyway. I've just put Innovation Silver Slap strings on mine as well, and it has totally transformed it for the better, both in terms of tone and playability. Gareth
 6.
But it's *tiny* and *shiny* and dear
Indeed it is!
 7.
phil jones D200 is tiny, fits in your coat pocket, but it's only 150 watts.
Quite loud though, although I wouldn't say it does grit very well, if at all.
 8.
I have just acquired an Orange AD200B amp and am aware that valve amps are sometimes troublesome ... so I want a very small head to carry in gigbag pocket as back-up. I am assuming the SWR Headlite, Genz Shuttle or MarkBass F1 are the smallest but there are others. Which one would you choose in my situation (bearing in mind I prefer a valve pre-amp for some extra warmth/grit and as it saves me having to carry a separate pedal)? I have excluded the Orange Terror Bass as, whilst dinky, it is not quite tiny enough, likewise the Mesa Walkabout head (which I already have in my combo). Yay, poll time!
I'd say Shuttle 6 or Headlite. I've owned both and personally would go with the Headlite because it has a better feature set, however the Shuttle probably does grit more easily and will be found used at a good price. Does that help? Cheers Gareth
 9. I'd suggest you [[email protected]]email John direct and ask him how much it would cost to build a replacement.
 10. OK, I really don't want to do this, but finances are tight and this is actually way more than I really need right now, so... Demeter HBP1 Tube Preamp A truly awesome tube preamp. This unit sounds wonderful and is very simple to use. Passive tone controls are augmented by a two band solid state parametric equalizer. It also has a fully adjustable active effects loop, tuner output, a full balanced output with switchable mic or line level, both a balanced TRS line level output and an unbalanced line level output for amplifier connections and a mute switch. Very hard to find in the UK used, I was quoted £949 for a new one by a UK dealer. Used but in very good condition with only minor rack rash. Peavey IPR1600 Power Amp This is the new kid on the Class D power amp block from Peavey. It puts out 830 watts per channel at 2 ohms and weighs less than 7lbs! Featuring 2 channels hi pass/low pass crossovers, a variable-speed fan housed in a lightweight aluminum chassis, patented DDT speaker protection. NB: It cannot be bridged! These are £349 retail in the UK. This one is two months old and totally mint. All stacked in a nice new (well, two months old) Thon 4u case with 1u blanking vent plate, OBBM Y connector and a Y power lead. £925 for the full setup, collected from NE Hampshire or Central London. Prefer not to post but can be persuaded at your cost. Thanks for looking. Gareth
 11. If I miss out on OBBM's Epi cabs and someone buys my EA cabs I'd be very interested...

They are straplock compatible, but do not come with the straplocks themselves. £3 each, £6 for two, or £10 the lot, posted 1st class. Cheers Gareth
On hold, pending payment.

 17.
Have a look at Award/Session - the amp maker (who doesn't seem to make amps anymore??). He used to make a good little 4 input mixer/buffer box. Edit - called a MixMatch and still on the website....
Just got the last one to be made, and it's perfect for what we what. Good call Duncan!!!!
 18. Great amps. Silly light and very transparent tone. I'm half tempted to gat another, and this price is good!
