1. Thanks for the comments guys!
What conventional configuration are those cabs analgous to? The head looks heavy?
PJB says that four of the 5" drivers approximate to to a normal 10" driver with a 4" voice coil, and I was told by them that the 6B is equivalent to a 1x12, but with a really big voice coil! Also, the cabs are a decent size - about the size of a 2x10 but much deeper - so the amount of energy and volume of air being moved is really very good. The amp is a substantial 29lb/14kg. It's certainly no micro head, but it's perfectly managable and has a reassursing solidity about it.
That PJ rig looks like absolutely amazing quality. That alone attracts me to it. I can only imagine is sounds immense
The build quality is superlative, and that was one of the things that attracted me to it. PJB build nearly everything in house, right down to the bolts, and their QC is first class!
 2. Thanks for the PJB love guys.
Why do they have the 2nd power input on the rear ?
It's an power output actually, so you can run an fx unit or other ancillary kit. Quite a nifty idea!
 3. Hi Chris And don't forget the Eminence 4 that's on commission at The Gallery. It's been there for £1699 for some time now, so the owner may be open to offers? Cheers Gareth
 4. I'd have the Ibanez off you in a shot if someone would buy my Brook!
 5. So, I've now added my second 6B to my PJB M-300 and goodness what a difference. Apart from the increase in volume, which is less than I thought it would be but still more than ample for any gigs I'm going to play without PA support, the quality and depth of the tone is supreme. I'm just getting more of the same fantastic sound. Cheers all Gareth
 6. I've now asked the guitarist in my band and, while he's interested, he has other financial demands just now so shall pass.
 7. If you wanted to sell it outright the acoustic x 2/resonator/mandolin/banjo player in my band might be interested. Do you have a price? Cheers Gareth
 8. Meant also to say that both my basses wear Citron magnetic pickups, so there's still a strong link between Joe and Harvey.
 9. Not the best quality picture, but here are my two Veillettes. They are, quite simply, perfect.
 10. Our second transaction was as smooth as the first. Thanks again!
 11.
Yep deffo ohms on left side of graph, however, this has absolutely nothing to do with the O/P's question about Speakon connectors
I know; was simply responding to flyfisher's question, 'cause I'm a helpful soul. Back on topic: I think Speakons are terrific and would never use 1/4" jacks unless I absolutely had to.
 12.
Can anyone understand that graph? Specifically, the left-hand scale of, presumably, cable length.
I think it's actually showing impedance in Megohms.
 13.
Its a load of PR Bullsh*te.....
Light the blue touch paper and stand well back
