  1. I just bought one of these! Great little unit that takes up very little real estate.
  2. I'm sure it's a great amp, like most Markbass stuff is, but it would so much better if it had decent graphics on the fascia. Same hold true for most of their amps, and this from a regular Markbass user! That "Italian Lifestyle" logo is 🤢 IMO
  3. PM me what you're thinking and we can take it from there?
  4. Yes, Mark Gooday gave a quick glimpse of it when he did a quick Facebook Live session showing folk around the pop up shop that was in Denmark Street last week. Here's a screen grab.
  5. Swapped out my Bright Onions A/B switcher with a Providence Dual Bass Station, which meant a 12V power supply was needed. Added a GigRig Supanova to provide this, and tidied up the wiring underneath at the same time.
  6. The Demeter heads are also very clean (and expensive).
  7. Looks like a new (possibly higher power?) LB is coming along too.
  8. As a starting point I go for relief of about 0.3 mm then set the G string to 1.5mm and 2.2mm fot the E at the 12th fret (holding down the 1st fret), then radius the A and D strings accordingly. Then tweak to taste. If I'm playing a bass with a pick these need to be a smidge higher.
  9. A quick and simple sale of some strings to Alain. Super smooth transaction and great comms. Thank you Alain.
  10. Another easy as you like transaction with Steve. He's a BC legend.
  11. A quick and simple sale of some strings to Stephen. Super smooth transaction and I would happily deal with him again.
  12. A quick and simple sale of some strings to Andy. Super smooth transaction and I would happily deal with him again.
  13. Another smooth deal with Mike, this time a quick and simple sale of a strap. Super smooth transaction, although recorded delivery took a week to do the 38 mile trip!, and I would happily deal with him again.
  14. A quick and simple sale of some strings to Chris. Super smooth transaction and I would happily deal with him again.
  15. A quick and simple sale of some strings to Ian. Super smooth transaction and I would happily deal with him again.
  16. James made this for me last year but I have hardly used it. It's got a very nice textured black finish. It's an AB switch with the A or B inputs going to a single output. There is a volume pot for the A input, which comes in handy when you have two basses that you use on the same amp, but one has a hotter signal than the other. This pedal lets you lower the level on the louder bass so both signals will be the same level going to the amp. The pedal is totally passive. If you need to power the status LEDs the pedal has a Boss style 2.1mm 9v (negative ground) DC socket. The pedal is built with: Aluminium enclosure Neutrik jack sockets 3PDT heavy duty foot switch Point to point wiring Status LEDs 2.1mm 9v DC Socket It cost £40 in this finish - yours for £28 posted.
  17. Hello all Hoping for some help identifying a set of strings. They are a metal wrap with silk colours at the scroll end (they are all purple at the ball) as follows: G - Red D- Yellow A - Purple E - Green Any ideas?
  18. What Chris said. John's preamps are pretty hard to beat.
  19. The lovely people at Galli sent me a four string set by mistake. Rather than send them all the way back to Italy it seems sensible to try selling them on here first. These strings are super smooth and feel wonderful, and thanks to the synthetic core they have a lovely low tension. They do take a while for the tuning to stabilise, as the core keeps stretching initially, but the wait is worth it IMO. Bass Direct are selling these for £40, so I think £35 posted is reasonable.
