1.
I played Garth's (WalBass-nice bloke too) K.Smith bass a long time ago at OBBM's when we met and remembered what quality the bass felt in my hands. More of a bass than I'll ever be a player to do it justice but the feel good factor
(blushes)
 2.
Thank you sir. Glad you're liking the Jazz.
Still available.
 3.
I'm still keen to move this amp on, so if anyone is interested please PM me.
Still available
 4.
Ahhh.. If only there were a matching B in the set, Im very intrigued to try Kens strings!!
Matt, I use Smith strings and may have a spare low B. I'll check and get back to you.
 5.
Nathan East was on acoustic bass
I may be wrong, as he is a Yamaha endorsee of course, but I think NE used a Guild B30 ABG?
 6.
I noticed that you put this neck for sale on German ebay.... a daring BIN -price must I say.
I deliberately went very high with the BIN but I'm really interested in offers. However, if someone bites at the BIN then that's even better.
 7. I've always fancied one of these as they look so beautiful. I've been told these are give a more uprightish tone than a fretless electric mwah, although I suspect that may be down to string preference. Ejoy, should be stunning...
 8.
Would you post it? I am well interested if so!
And why's it got feet on the side?
 9. Would you post it? I am well interested if so!
 10. I think I've found the original post that has caused this. I assume it escalated somewhat in the PMs Steve? I know Ken can be fairly brusque, but this is sad indeed.
 11. Forgive my ignorance, but what speaker configuration does this cab contain? Also be interested to know dimensions, weight and power rating etc.
 12. Spalt maple looks great when you whack the gloss finish on..... Looks like it'll be an awesome bass. Martin's work is always superb. Cheers Gareth
 13. Great cabs, I think the Goliath II series were the best SWR ever made!
 14.
s'nice bass tho. how much are new wals these days?
We don't know yet until Paul Herman (who is resurrecting the company following Pete's retirement) clears the basses on backorder and then begins production of his new line.
 15.
I'm sure this is a great bass and the seller looks good, but isn't this a somewhat optimistic starting price/BIN?
It's quite a bit more than my Mk III cost NEW two years ago, and that included a spare neck!

 17. I snapped a few pics over the weekend to show the details of this bass. They were taken with flash so they aren't the best, but they do show the fantastic attention to detail and finish on the bass.
 18.
there's not a drummer in the land that knows his chops
Drummers have chops?
 19. I have three as well: Fretted Ken Smith 5, Fretless Wal 5 (have a fretted neck too tough) and Brook Acoustic 5. I'd love to add a fretless acoustic 5 to the stable, but in the current climate I can't really justify it...
 20.
i don't play pick and my fingers are a wee but too big for the string spacing on this beast.
What's the string spacing on this bass then?
 21. I played cello as a kid, was pretty good at it too, but I gave up when my tutor died during my first year of Secondary School. Almost straight away some friends asked me to play bass in their new "rock" band (we were all 12 years old), and my Mum and Dad bought me a little Satellite P copy to get me playing music again. First song I gigged was "Since You've Been Gone" by Rainbow, and I've been playing pretty much ever since.
