I've decided to put my new found soldering skills to use and make myself some soldered patch cables, so I have 12 Pedalpatch solderless patch cables and just over 3m of cable available. All new and unused. This would cost £49 to buy at retail, so save a tenner and the cost of postage and buy from me instead!

EBS and Rockboard flat patch cables - anyone compared them?

I do love a good Donner... -
Looking to use these on my new board and not sure which to go for. Any suggestions? They'll be coming out of the back of a Boss MS-3, and ideally I'd like them to have the cable routed straight down out of the jack socket, so the size of the plastic jack casing is important. Anyone tried both?

Based on that picture, La Bella standard long scale sets should fit. -

Morning all Up for sale here is an as new messenger bag from Gator, the G-Club-Control-DJ. It's never been out of the house and is in excellent condition. It has one large (19" wide) main compartment, plus a smaller sleeve and additional pocket on the front and two small pockets on the flap lid. It also has a flat pocket that runs the length of the back accessed from behind the handkle. Pockets on either end complete the storage options. It's made by Gator, so the quality is excellent, and it's padded throughout, so perfect as a gig bag for leads, straps, tools etc. Cheapest I can find is £59 posted, so I am looking for £45 posted for what is effectively a new bag. Stock pictures below.

My second transaction with Tony. All went well, apart from Royal Mail taking longer to deliver than anticipated. He's 100% trustworthy and I suspect we'll do business again some time.

What's the distance from ball end to just past the nut on your MTD? La Bella's standard length for long scale is 37" from ball end to the silk. Are you thinking Dunlop flats or rounds? -
SOLD: Ashdown CTM30 Little Stubby
franzbassist replied to franzbassist's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Not sure to be honest: I had an LB30 and swapped to a lower gain valve in V1 to reduce the dirt. The difference with the Little Stubby is it has a gain control, so you can keep it as clean as you like. It’s a much more versatile amp in my opinion. To get maximum clean volume out of it I run the master volume wide open and then use the gain control to set the actual output. -
Had a very smooth transaction with Stew, our second I think, and it was flawless from start to finish. He's a Basschat good 'un!

AMP SOLD Really don't want to sell this, but I can't justify having this and the Demeter in the house. This is a Chinese-made Ashdown Litte Stubby, a wonderful 30 watt all-valve head that just sounds sublime. It can do clean, it can do grind, and it can go pretty loud too for its wattage! These seem to go for about £350 used, but this one is loaded with vintage Mullard valves in the pre stage and a set of Brimar EL84s in the power stage - easily £250 worth of valves in it - hence the higher price. Or you can take it for £350 with the original JJs and I'll sell the vintage valves to hi-fi buffs for silly money! You can see the Mullards below. I have also added taller, sturdier rubber feet to improve air circulation. I still have the originals if you want to put them back on of course. Condition is excellent. It was an early lockdown purchase so has never been gigged. The price is £350 with the original JJs. I have the original box, so shipping is possible, but obviously would prefer buyer collects. Thanks for looking!

My custom bank changer plus A/B switcher arrived this morning from the lovely folk at Bright Onions. All good!

I sold a cab to Tsvetan and it was a really smooth transaction. Prompt payment, excellent communication. I would be very happy to deal with him again!

I'd missed this facility, which makes it even more versatile!

Yes, I've got a Bright Onions pedal incoming to do the same job 👍

That board scares me

I recently bought myself a Boss MS-3 and it’s a fantastic piece of kit. I will try and do a full review later, as I don’t think there’s one on Basschat, but initial impressions are really good: 116 different effects 50 banks of 4 patches each every patch can consist of the following - 2 effects/2 modulation effects/1 delay effect/1 reverb effect/3 loops/noise supressor easy UI both on screen and using the PC software editor three loops for extra pedals means you could have your favourite or go to effects in loops and just use the onboard stuff for the more esoteric sounds the ability to switch effects on or off within a patch in manual mode is fab decent inbuilt tuner true bypass if you want it

I would highly recommend putting a mag pickup in the bass instead of the piezo. So much easier to use at giggable volumes and dial in a tone you like. I had Krivo in the US custom make one for me, which I installed with some Schatten thumbwheel volume and tone controls, and it transformed the bass.
